Yall need to stop thinking so negatively!

Like, it will BE OKAY!!! I know this situation is scary and frustrating, but what Qwel is doing right now, ignoring the allegations and refusing to answer people’s questions, is honestly a terrible business decision. It’s not going to make everything magically disappear.

And you know what will probably happen? People will (or already are) boycott the game, and that will affect its success. If Dandy’s World starts losing money, other companies or studios could look at it and think, “This game had a huge audience before. If we buy it and improve it, we could make it successful again.” Companies buy struggling properties all the time.

And if Qwel is willing to send cease and desist letters to people speaking out, that doesn’t mean she’s untouchable. Other people can defend themselves legally too. There are consequences if someone tries to silence people instead of addressing serious issues.

The people working with her matter too. Animators, 3D modelers, artists, and other workers may see former employees speaking out and decide they don’t want to be involved anymore. Collaborators like Care Bears could look at the controversy and decide it’s not worth continuing a partnership. Companies like Scholastic, CultureFly, and other kid-focused brands have reputations to protect, they aren’t going to want to stay attached to a project surrounded by controversy if it starts hurting them.

Whether Qwel ignores the situation or deletes the game, neither option magically fixes the damage. The worst-case scenario people are imagining is not the only possibility. A lot of things can happen, and there are still people holding the creators accountable.

i need help getting an id

so. my mom is mildly abusive. not the worst person in the world, but i was suicidal when i was barely even a teenager because of her (not really suicidal but i don't want to get into that shit here. i had a plan to hang myself. suicidal is close enough)

i have been trying to get away from her. she claims to want me out of the house. we seem to be on the same page on that

to get out of the house, however, i need a job

i don't have an id

drivers license is completely off the table. i have too many things wrong with me to be capable of driving. (eye issues, coordination issues, mental illness severe enough that the thought of being in control of a fucking two ton death machine is enough to send me into a spiral, etc)

i need to get just a plain old id

i have asked my mom on multiple occasions to help me get the documents i need to get an id. she refuses every time

i just. really need help figuring out what i need and how to get it

i don't have a bank account, i don't pay bills, i don't pay rent, i don't have basically anything that i know counts as proof of address

i do have a birth certificate, but my mom will not tell me if it's the kind that actually counts as proof of legal presence

and i can't find anything that says what counts as "proof of identity". whenever i look it up it brings me back to the page on the dmv website that says what i need to get an id

the only thing i know for a fact i have is a social security number. that's it

i live in virginia. the documents have to be what counts here

can anyone older and smarter than me just please help me figure out what i can use to get an id and finally get a job and get out of this fucking house

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.
