People keep responding to my post about Shane and Yuna with like "their relationship is complicated and has a lot of conflict but they love each other" no I am saying he *likes her*. I think he calls her to tell her about a new brand of matcha powder he found at the local organic food store. I think she texts him pictures from her bird house that has a camera mounted on it and writes "saw the cardinal again today!!!!"

Curious on your thoughts: are writing fanfiction and writing original fiction totally different skills? Like in fanfiction when we are successful (whatever that means) we’re often mimicking someone else’s characterization, often remixing someone else’s narrative beats, or at least trading off of the investment audiences already have in someone else’s characters. Does doing well at that easily translate into being able to do it with unknown original characters in unknown original worlds?

David Hollander is definitely the type of man to randomly put on a song and pull his wife up to dance with him, especially if she’s stressing about something, or worrying, or upset, or just because. She will usually lightly protest, honey, I need to finish this email, but she’ll happily go along nonetheless.
