Hate to be a person begging, but also no I don’t! You can’t get what you don’t ask for, so I’m asking for a classroom of 7th graders at a low-income Philly school.
I am a new teacher! And I’d love to be able to decorate my classroom, but more so I’d love a community care station where kids can get toiletries, healthcare items, and cleaning supplies free of charge without having to ask. And my school is mostly elementary, so while we are uniquely fortunate in having a school library space, the books we have are for new and younger readers and not really for middle schoolers.
If you’d like to support a social studies & sciences classroom taught by a Filipino, Autistic, and openly trans teacher at this fraught time in history for POC, neurodivergent, queer trans people, please check out the links and share the post! Let me know things from your social studies or sciences classes that you liked! If you’re not in the US, share about how your country’s history is taught in school! If you’re a scientist, give me some cool science facts for 12 year olds!
