Adding a second lock was not necessary.

How'd I cut back on caffeine? The usual. Diet, discipline. One thing that helped a lot was that I harnessed the void. I tapped into the little incipient void which sits at the heart of every thinking animal, and I fed it. I hatefully nurtured it with every malicious thought, every unkind impulse, every knee-jerk reaction best discarded, and it gorged on these things it metastasized. It swelled past the confines of my heart and fought for space with with my stomach, my liver, my intestines, winning handily, subsuming each in turn, until I was little more than a man-shaped howling wrathful abyss sheathed in taut, paper-thin human hide, wandering through this fallen world in anticipation of whatever fleeting offense finally catalyzes my inevitable rupture and detonation. And now I'm down to two, maybe three cups a day
Hey. If people aren't aware, Microsoft admitted they know who you and where you are at all times and will give your info to the police.
They have a Global Device Identifier (GDID) Tracker that functions as a fingerprint for your PC that can surpass VPNs, proxy servers and countries. Although it can't survive a clean reinstall of Windows (it can survive updates), because Microsoft forces you to go to the internet and log in into a Microsoft account, they will be able to get to you.
Microsoft kept it secret and it was only found out when the FBI tracked a hacker thanks to the information Microsoft gave them.
You should be paying attention to this, and possibly consider moving away from Windows. If a government, especially the US government, doesn't like you for some reason, this could be seriously concerning.
This article specifically notes:
For journalism, activism, or domestic abuse situations, skip Windows and use Linux routed through Tor instead of a commercial VPN. A GDID doesnât care which VPN you use, only that itâs still the same Windows installation.
GDID is the persistent Windows ID that helped FBI trace a Scattered Spider hacker despite VPNs. Here's how it works and how to limit it.
Other important quotes:
What has researchers uneasy is everything else the case reveals. Costin Raiu, a well-known malware researcher, asked on the Three Buddy Problem podcast how much of this exists on other platforms, and whether it is linked more permanently to hardware. Matthew Hickey, another security researcher, called Windows âsurveillance softwareâ.
Two things back that up:
Thereâs no consent screen. A GDID gets assigned when you sign into a Microsoft Account. Appleâs advertising identifier needs an App Tracking Transparency prompt and a visible reset; Androidâs works the same way. GDID has neither, and a Windows reinstall only gets you a new number Microsoft can still get back to the same account.
Then thereâs activation. Massgrave, the group behind Microsoft Activation Scripts, notes that Windows setup sends hardware info to Microsoft and gets identifiers back, the same tokens later used for Store access and licensing: âItâs impossible to prevent Windows from getting a GDID without breaking activation and UWP app[s].â Anyone who lost a license after swapping a motherboard has already met a smaller version of this.

6 hour workday maximum iâm not kidding, if it canât be done in that timeframe it doesnât need doing.
this doesn't apply to jobs like childcare
If i worked in childcare and my 6 hours were up i would start putting babies in ziploc bags and shipping them to Turkmenistan listed as endangered fruits and vegetables

the only way to become truly punk is to render oneself blind, deaf, mute, and completely numb, and then to seal oneself within a concrete slab deep underground. only conformist normies and posers experience stimuli
you ever just sit and realise u canât remember 80% of your childhood? like ⌠what happened? who am i ..?
Many people in the comments are saying âtraumaâ, but this is actually a very normal occurrence. Itâs called Childhood Amnesia, and itâs a process which, as the brain reorganizes itself for cognitive thought that is developed in late childhood, it changes the Accessibility of those memories during recall. Many childhood memories are available to the person, but they will not be remembered during regular recall activity, you have to âtrickâ your brain into remembering with different tactics.
This is because there are two parts to memories - their encoding and their recall. The encoding determines their availability, their recall determines their accessibility. The reason why trauma memory and childhood amnesia are different is in this distinction. Trauma memory is often encoded differently, bypassing to the limbic system where it is stored as intrinsic memory. It canât be recalled because it was never encoded. Childhood amnesia, however, seems to indicate that the memories are encoded, but we lose access to them as we age. This is most likely due to the development of brain structures that fundamentally change our encoding and recall of memory as we get older.
This is an important distinction, because trauma memory is âstored in the bodyâ, i.e. you get triggers that send your body into a cascade of uncontrollable feelings, sensations and reactions. Whereas childhood memories wonât generally do that, they are just recalled at odd times with odd associations.
reblogging this because Iâve legit seen people freaking out when they realised they canât remember some of their childhood, thinking they might have some repressed trauma.
Some extra things:
Trauma isnât necessarily âstored in the bodyâ and doesnât necessarily have triggers. These are common experiences but not universal. The 'encoded in the limbic systemâ theory has been disproven. Traumatic memories are re-experienced physically mainly because remembering causes our system to flood with stress hormones. There it also no evidence that trauma is stored in our 'ancient animal brainâ. (The body keeps the score is a bad pseudoscience book)
'Repressed memoriesâ donât really exist. There are memories that are difficult to remember because they happened a long time ago and there are memories that youâve systematically trained yourself to avoid thinking about because they upset you, but they are still accessible to you. But if a therapist says you need hypnosis or some shit to 'recoverâ memories: run. Thatâs dangerous quack science and is likely to result in false-memory recovery which can really complicate existing trauma.
Intrusive remembering is a more common trauma-response than memory avoidance.
You can forget and then later remember genuinely huge things like your brotherâs wedding. You can also forget them entirely. It doesnât mean you have 'repressed memoriesâ, it doesnât mean that youâre traumatized and unless it happens frequently it doesnât mean that you have cognitive problems. The brain as a memory tool is just incredibly flawed.
