Been doing a lot of Renet posts so I figured I should post about one of the others. Still figuring out Leatherhead's design so I drew some concepts. His role on the team is the medic/protector so I was trying to explore what his outfit would look like while taking inspiration from other iterations. So for those of us definitely planning on seeing this in theaters we can all agree not to spoil this right?? Everyone else is gonna have to wait two whole weeks without getting spoiled but I think if a collective amount of us agreed the amount of spoilers on the internet won’t be a lot!

small life update:
so I was gonna drop another No Shell Heroes update last month but I had a family emergency and had to focus on that. I'm slowly getting back into the swings of things. I haven't drawn in WEEKS!! I'm gonna make sure to post this month even if its a bunch of wips.

The first draft of the lyrics is done, and I'll hopefully begin practicing recording today. I'M SO EXCITED AAIIIIEEEEEE~! Prayers are still appreciated though. I've never written my own song before and actually... shared it. XD This is gonna be a whole new experience. (Though I will state here and now that I did not compose the song. I found it on Epidemic Sound as a soundtrack!) But anyways, yeah! I'll... keep you guys updated on how this goes. :)

I HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN SINCE THE BEGINING OF THE YEAR. I've given myself deadlines for nsh concept art and i'm already behind two of them.😭 so I'm gonna try to catch up this week so I can get back on schedule and hopefully post another update in february that's bigger. Anyway I decided to draw one of the storyboard thumbnails I had for a shortfilm idea and try and figure out what the style of the series will look like. I'm not experimenting but I liked how this turned out so i wanted to post it. I'm gonna make a part 2 so hopefully that'll come soon. Anyway that's all for now!

NO SHELL HEROES UPDATE 1:
Currently in the concept art phase still. Renet and Mona’s designs are the closest to being done. I’m also starting a script and storyboard thumbnails! Context for each slide:
Slide 1: main cast eye designs wip cause I want to make the eyes unique to each character
slide2: Mona Lisa fire pattern reference sheet Mona has a fire ability and her spots are connected to that
Slide 3: concept sketches of Casey jones, April and other characters
Slide 4: Mona Lisa clothing reference Wip
Slide 5: Renet turnaround wip I ended up changing her hair style to match the bangs better

Anyway I've been working on this project for about a year so I figured it was time to announce it. TMNT: NO SHELL HEROES is a fanmade spin off of Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. It takes place in a universe where the side characters from the franchise are forced into the to fight a new threat. I figured this was gonna be a smaller project but I ended up just writing deeper into the story and loving it so I'm going to attempt to make into an animated series or storyboard comic.
Here's the plot summary:
In an attempt to keep a promise to her late friend, Renet Tilley decides to enter into the old family business of being a Time guardian. However, she ends up releasing a threat banished from the universe's timeline and putting the world in more danger rather than less. So now she’s trying to fix it along with her team of newbie heroes.
I also drew concept sketches of the main five and the villian's current designs So you can see what they look like. I'm still in the early stages of development but I plan on posting updates and you'll get to know a lot more about the character's, world and story. I really hope you all will like it!
