Open computer settings

Click on Accessibility on the left-hand menu

Scroll down the Accessibility menu and click on the Keyboard Option

Under the "related settings" tab, click "Typing" which should have a description of "spellcheck, autocorrect, text suggestions."

Turn off the AI "correct misspelled words"

and most importantly: turn off Typing Insights.

"But Mx. November, it says right there Microsoft doesn't collect the typing insights data!"

I mean, yeah, it says that..... for *now.*

It also only specifies that Microsoft themselves don't collect it, and they wouldn't have made this something that I was automatically, secretly opted in for without my knowledge if they didn't have something to be gained by me not knowing it exists!

I only found this because a cat walked on the keyboard and turned on Filter Keys and while trying to figure out why my keyboard was just making chirping noises instead of typing, I happened to click on "typing insights" by accident.

Oh no all you need is a USB and the ability to follow a simple set of directions intended for beginners

And never have to fight Windows' deliberately hostile settings again

I found this setting by accident while trying to fix my keyboard because my cat walked across it, not because I'm a tech genius who knows windows 10 or 11 inside out lol.

People are wanting to know how to disabled this setting on a Windows 10 tablet and friends, I am going to be honest with you... I didn't even know windows tablets existed 😂

Because as someone who has felt this I can not stress how different it actually is from anxiety. Which is saying a lot because I have a massive anxiety disorder.

I've only felt this twice in my life - once when I was going into kidney failure due to an infection and again when my body was going into shock due to dehydration and malnourishment due to GI issues - and I can not stress how much it saved my life. It's hard to even put it into words. It's not like a panic attack, or anxiety. It is a horrific gut turning feeling of absolute dread.

Especially if you have anxiety you'll know the difference honestly. It's so much worse. It's every cell in your body and your brain screaming that there's something horribly wrong in a way you've never felt. It's your brain screaming out that you are going to die in a way no panic attack has ever done before.

For me, it was very quiet. For me, there was a deep sense that I could just lie down on the floor and not have to ever get up again, no effort required.

That combined wrongness/relief was so weird and so unsettling that I drove myself to the ER.

For me, its the overwhelming, near calm certainty of doom that distinguishes it from the jittery panic of “but something could go wrong.”

There’s no “what if?” There’s no room to question it. It just IS. And it’s very different from the “calm” of disassociation too. I’m not disassociated from myself when it happens. I’m probably actually the most present ever.

This is not the kind of news we enjoy bringing. This is about the teaser trailer for Disney and Pixar’s Elio, which comes to theaters in March 2024, and is likely to be shown before showings of Elemental, which arrives in theaters this week.

After the narrator and on-screen caption say “In 2024″ (around the 15-second mark), there are 25 seconds of near-constant screen-glitching effects. While they are not as severe as the ones in the first trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, or the trailer for Incredibles 2, they are still strong strobe effects, and they last for 25 of the trailer’s 128 seconds, almost nonstop.
