They're really needs to be laws in place to prevent people from making video games, TV shows, and movies that will trigger people's photosensitivity without these movies and TV shows incurring like, so many fucking finds and extra taxes and being required to have warnings, and being required to make alternate versions that don't have the triggers in them.
Photosensitive pride flag cuz I couldn't find any.
Greyscale to show the safety in low saturated colors, but in the shape of an explosion to show the danger, with the hope that maybe people will hear the "sound" and will start being proactive about protecting us.
Also I'm a goth at heart and I think it just looks cool.
It is public domain, which means you can use it for literally anything and everything, and no credit is needed.
[ID: A square, then a rectangle version of the photosensitivity flag, which is monochrome grey, with a medium grey background, and a small, dark grey ring in the center, with four rays radiating out from it to the four corners, in alternating light and matching dark grey. End ID.]
Happy disability pride month, now I gotta go draw this again on my phone for some pride art.
The worst part is...people with photosensitivity tend not to actually look in the photosensitivity tag......cuz things with flashing lights get mistakenly tagged that all the time.....so who knows whether or not other people to whom it is relevant will see it.
To help out people with photosensitivty when posting online, tag videos / gifs that have flashing lights as "flashing", with no other variations on that specific tag, otherwise we can't filter it. Tag posts with fully saturated, neon colors with "neon" and "eyestrain".
Better yet, don't post things with fully saturated neon colors or flashing lights in the first place! But if you're going to, tag them appropriately so we can avoid them.
Okay, since I've seen people not knowing the right settings and possibly getting hurt.
Here's a guide for my Epileptic and Photosensitive folks here on Tumblr:
> Go to your Blog
>> Tap Gear icon
>>> Go to account settings(Android) or General Settings(IOS)
>>>> Scroll down to Media Autoplay
>>>>> Select never autoplay
🍓‼️
Desktop/Website
> Log in and click profile icon in top right corner
>> Click settings
>>> Look in the Dashboard Preferences section
>>>> Find Media Autoplay and set to never autoplay
I mean, literally just the fact that I cannot safely play Cassette Beasts without mods to remove the animations that give me a migraine, and cannot morally recommend the game to other people without warning them about all the flashing lights that not even the mods can get rid of entirely, to the point I had to pile things in front of my computer screen just to make my player character, is really saying something.
You have to criticize these kinds of things if we want Cassette Beasts 2002 to be a better game than the original. If you won't criticize literally dangerous features of the game, what even *will* you criticize?

People who put those neon flashing gifs in random tags and people’s askboxes should be charged with attempted murder and I’m not even joking. That shit can seriously KILL people /srs
