Michelangelo's Bacchus is one of my favorite sculptures to come out of the Renaissance. There is something so alluring about the sculpture. Honestly, though I love dynamic sculptures like Bernini's works, Michelangelo's singular standing figures are so... captivating. Personally, I think Bacchus is better than David... Thank you, Miche, for giving your sculpture a little tummy.

I'm so upset we don't have more substantially proven portraits of Botticelli himself. His one widely believed self-portrait looks so similar to other figures he painted that there is no way he didn't represent himself by accident on other occasions. But, Botticelli's self-portrait is my favorite among Renaissance-Baroque artists, so maybe I'm just biased in wanting more... His aegyo is so refreshing
