The Amnesty International report that JK Rowling is trying to censor through legal threats.
It can also be found on Google Drive here and on Bluesky here.
Please save and share this info where possible. This report has since been removed by Amnesty International due to legal threats of libel from JK Rowling. This information is no longer easily accessible.

I'm haunted by a PhD student who calls for 'research help' and gives prompts like 'I read a paper once that had a table in it with a comparison of international fertility guidelines' and just expects you to be able to find that paper and send it to them... I've had 4 >30 minute calls with them over the year and all have just left me feeling very used and confused
folks, I missed a call from them because I was in a meeting but now I am definitely screening my calls for the afternoon because the reply to my email asking what they needed help with is off the chart bonkers
Lol I'm going through my work tag and this person thanked me in their published PhD so I guess I did a good job in the end.
we got to have planetarium in the library today
remember that guy that had a single auditory hallucination that told him he had a brain tumor and the exact location and then he went to the doctor and it was fucking right
yippe wahoo

WIDOW'S BAY (2026)
unless its egregious, i'm not embarrassed to be fooled by ai. "oh i got lied to via something made by the Lying Machine the machine we made to Lie really well" like it's gonna happen it's no egg on your face. just be chill about it
don't get me wrong. it's always devastating always humbling. no one wants to fall for the lying machine it just sounds bad. but you can't dwell
Stealing this from twitter but I liked the concept: put in the tags where were your 8 great-grandparents from (given modern borders) ?

Blocking the op of a post that someone I am following is reblogging everyday, sometimes multiple times in a row, sorry that you're catching strays
Speaking of books, I have been feeling a bit down about my bookclub of 15 years because one of the members has become increasingly conservative over the last 6 months but last night the organiser went all out for the table setting and painted all these amazing portraits of things from the book and maybe I just have to do it for her, ya know? And me and my mum will take turns having to sit near the radicalised to the right surburbanite.
The book was Still Life by Louise Penny which was just okay, like kind of cute for crime fiction but still crime fiction if you know what I mean. A relief to read something set in Quebec is the main feeling I had.
