The really bewildering thing to me is that I remember when you needed to get up and pull a dictionary off the shelf, or visit a library to look up the facts you needed. Now people have all kinds of information literally at their fingertips and they can’t be bothered to use it.
Also, I love that, in the sign language one, it seems like the last image might’ve been a gif of “fuck you,” screenshot at the perfect time to let you know they were about to sign “fuck you”
I still remember the guy who got mad at me because I spoke about the cultural role of the Norse gods in my life and my culture and insisted that I should be “proud of my Christian heritage instead” and quite simply would not believe me when I told him I was from Scandinavia because “that doesn’t exist anymore.”
I wanted to draw a two panel manga fanart of Kaiju no 8.
Isao finds his daughter Kikoru unconscious and motionless in the aftermath of a powerful Kaiju attack, he immediately puts his hand on her chest to feel for a heartbeat as the vital sensor in her suit doesn't work.
This drawing took me over six hours and I kinda was about to give up. Because of the background and the second panel. I didn't get the pose how I wanted

ok i actually LOVE this style SO MUCH☹️ the way other characters are drawn are incredible too. the reason this didn't make top 10 is because it's pretty easy to dismiss him as someone else here (if you told me this was an entirely different character i would've believed you😞) with his broad build and a pretty diff hairstyle
Mark Bagley (Ultimate Spider-Man #95 & #96)
This is a fairly good artstyle but overall pretty standard for a modern comic. i enjoy this one because of design they had put here (this counts right? because this isn't morbius 616, it's 1610) i really hope he makes more appearances in the future bcs bro js casually drops that hes Dracula's brother and walks out??? get back here🙏
Valentine De Landro (Amazing Spider-Man #699.1 & Morbius The Lving Vampire 2013 Issue 6-7)
I've mentioned this guy couple of times on my previous post and now we fibally talk abt him🙏 the artstyle mainly focuses on heavy shadow blocking and silhouettes and it's honestly pretty solid too
only thing i dislike abt this is how he whitewashed becky (becky is asian right🤔) or if thats not the case then he js straight up butchered her design😞i couldn't even tell that was becky the first time i read issue 6..

10. Michael Gaydos (Legions Of Monsters: Morbius)
It very much amazes me how realistic the proportions are, not to mention that is watercolour??? Michael Gaydos did everything himself (pencil, inking, colouring) so this is mad impressiveΣ(ﾟДﾟ；)
9. Gil Kane (Amazing Spider-Man #101-#102)
the og ofcc😋😋 i love how expressive he is, not a lot of versions can do that ngl. bright colours also makes it easier for me to read🤭
8. Ron Wagner (Morbius The Living Vampire 1992 Issue 1-14)
michael looks so insane here and honestly im all for it😍😍 what's really intriguing for me are the eyes because im not going to lie it feels like this version or morbius is that he could probably return the penance stare to ghost rider with those eyes🥀im jk
7. Kev Walker (Marvel Zombies 4 Issue 1-4)
i love how fluent the poses are in this series, but its truly one of if not the goriest comics i have ever read🥲 it was quite literally all red for many panels
something about how the colours and shadows clash is really welcoming for me🤔 either way great series too (shout out to Rachelle Rosenberg (the colorist) fr🙏)
5. Marcelo Ferreira (yes again) (Morbius: The Living Vampire 2019 Issue 1-5)

I ABSOLUTELY ADMIRE how despite all the body horror going on the entire series is still very whats the word stable?? connecting?? idk the point is morbius' form stays the same from one panel to another😞
i really do wish that they had continued this series with the ones they had planned, the covers they released looked so cool :(
pls note that theres only 2 pages of this sample because the rest of the issue is drawn by Valentine De Landro👍 i love the hatches to illuminate shadows, even in 2 pages only this still manages to impress big time. (ESPECIALLY DOC OCK. probably my favorite panel between the 2 pages but I can't fit it here sadly)
3. Tom Reilly (Morbius: Bond of Blood 2021)
personally this is the default look for morbius😋 the body shape, hairstyle, suit, everything. it also has very minimum shadows and blocking and the pastel colours are actually a really nice touch🤑🤑 shout out to Chris O'Halloran on foenem🙏
2. Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man #688-#691 (No Turning Back Arc))
THE COAT I LOVE THE COAT i love it when characters put a regular ahh coat over their usual clothing
..ok thats obviously not why this is 2nd place🥹 what i love most is the anatomy and attention to character detail🧐i personally see it as a more detailed version of tom reilly's version (no.3) also do you see that blur?? absolute cinema gng
1. Richard Elson (Morbius The Living Vampire 2013 Issue 1-5; 8-9)
he gets shot WAY too many times in this series you guys🥹🥹 around 17 bullets and got exploded once (not counting all the bullets that MISSED) he gets absolutely slimed and js walks it off😭💔
ok but seriously this series is very detailed with shadows, shading, lineart it's honestly insane. tho i have absolutely no idea how his hair got so short because this is supposed to be a direct continuation from asm 699.1 (see no. 4) as in it happened only HOURS after it.
also issue 6-7 is drawn by Valentine De Landro don't ask why cuz idk either
