What do you mean they fall in love, they separate, they find each other again, and then they go on a multiyear offscreen space roadtrip in which they have to live practically on top of each other in a tiny tube??? I'm not Jason Momoa showing up with a folding chair, I'm fully driving up to that time skip with a UHaul full of flatpack furniture and building an entire house there. You got room in there for whatever fucking angst, silliness, sex, PTSD, slice of life, mental health issues, fun problem solving, scary problem solving, arguments, miscommunications, anything.
