Hi! I hope this doesn't come off as rude, I genuinely want to understand the reasoning. If it's a personal thing, you can absolutely ignore this. Why have you worked at so many different studios? Is your time at any one place just based on project length?

It's common practice in tv animation. If you ask any artist who has worked in tva for more than 5 years, chances are they've probably been at every major studio. I've worked on very few productions in comparison to my peers since Big City Greens has been going on for like a decade and it's been my only full time job in animation. Every other production I've worked on has either been part-time, freelance or something I hopped on temporarily while on hiatus.
As an artist, you're technically an employee of the studio but it's more like contract work. You're only at a studio as long as the production you're on. After your show ends, sometimes you're able to find another job within the studio but a lot of the time you end up just going wherever there's an opening (more often than not, at a different studio).
All productions are too different for it to be effective to keep all artists in a studio. Like an artist who worked at Nickelodeon on Avatar, after production ends, probably wouldn't be a good fit for something like The Loud House haha. They'd more likely find themselves at Amazon on something like Invincible or My Adventures with Superman with Warner Bros.
