my idea for this basically just came from the fact that i have a lot of gripes with the default sprites for nu:c... i think the artist did a wonderful job and absolutely 0 hate is intended with this, nor am i trying to "fix" the sprites. i just think they could use a little touching up!

most of the 'redesigns' (if you can call them that) were very slight changes to either their pose, anatomy, face, or all of the above. i made some of them look like they actually had weight rather than all of them having rock solid abs and huge muscles. its definitely difficult to see the changes without putting the original sprite next to them, but i hope the alterations are noticable enough

i believe olivine was the easiest, he just needed very slight adjustments because my only issue was his pose seemed a bit awkward. it would be far too long a post to go over every detail i changed for each of them... unfortunately, as much as i'd like to point things out!! quincy on the other hand took FOREVER

overall, these are purely for fun and experimentation and aren't meant to be bashing the artwork that was created. i tried to be as faithful as i could for each of them, and i decided not to change anything with their clothes because i worried it'd lean too far into headcanon designs
