I have a weird feeling about how anime-only people saw or still sees Qifrey's relationship with the girls. When the show started, the audience feared that Qifrey would be predatory toward his disciples and that their relationship would be sexualised. Ive seen a lot of manga-readers reassure them like "don't worry it's not a trap the relationship between Qifrey and the girls is truly wholesome there's no weird stuff behind it" (which is absolutely true). Some wha-fans tend to call out those people who had this fear, calling them fucking weirdos, but I think on the contrary that this is a pretty genuine feeling. And also it depicts a horrifying reality : we've been used to medias sexualizing little girls.
