Okay I found a post in the dp x DC phandom, on how Danny could be mistaken for Beast Boy and Ravens son.
And I was like okay
But apparently my brain liked the idea so much it spat another idea for a WIP, And I haven't touched the document sea yet (that's a whole bunch of Wips and blank docs in my word doc file, funny enough it popped right back into existence after I cleared out he last document sea)
Instead of being mistaken for their child , he does become their child.
You have a Danny, getting spat into the DC verse, after a big explosion in the lab , after a revel gone wrong , killing everyone (no Dan sadly, he's dead dead in this au Danny killed him) and Dani included and gravely injuring an already injured Phantom. And sending said gravely injured Phantom in the blow back into the dc Verse.
So bad that he became a core , like in Robins Egg. Except! Instead of Robin finding it , Beast Boy finds it.
Beast Boy was looking for something a rare not cursed gem to get worked into an engagement ring for Raven , and found this really neat rock.
He does have a magic person to checks it because dating a person that does magic one gets a feel for something supernatural.
He assumes it's Jsut a magic rock and sets out on making a sphere ring , that would double as an engagement ring and figet toy , cause it was so perfectly round and beast Boy didn't want to ruin it.
But because he had a habit of losing stuff decided to keep it on his person. Like in Robins Egg the rock tunes out to be a person once it awoke.
And so Beast Boy is talking to this teen keeping his soul safe telling his stories and bonding with him.
He does eventually tell Raven about it , er him, but only with permission and the reason he wanted to introduce them was because it was clear that Danny was struggling with his perception of self. Beast Boy had opinions on Danny's former parents and grieves with him out loosing his sister, friends and family
Eventually those two trade off on the core definitely getting attached to the kid , the core Danny feeding off of a mixture of Ravens magic and emotional bonds with both of them. They get him checked up regularly with Constantine.
Now trying to get Danny who is a vote to stop using whatever ecto he manages to develop, he does meet the rest of the team, Dick playfully argues with Cyborg over being the favorite uncle , Starfire is ecstatic over being an aunt figure and each have the turn to hold Danny and talks to him.
When Danny does reform, he's not int he form of a scrawny too small , sixteen year old.
He's ten years younger, still covered in the scars of the ghost fights, his death and the scars from the attempted vivisection.
Too small, too thin , yet smiling up at both Beast Boys and Raven with the brightest smile.
Beast Boy: So...Dick. Does your dad have any spare adoption papers?
They have to find a way to the realms safely to get Danny checked by Frostbite who he mentioned was his ghost doctor.
On an entirely un-related note the Ghost Prince had gone missing, before he was even notified of his new title , had been missing now for several months. The Realms is getting antsy, and finally the Master of Time who knew where he was decided to finally allow Dannys old ghost friends to go and find him.
Well Fright Night is looking for a price the others Jsut want to look for him, especially three certain ghosts.
Too bad no one thought of teaching Danny about Ghost etiquette.or culture. Or anything really important. And they kept to themselves so much that little is known about.
I started using Head and Shoulders ten years ago for itchy scalp and dandruff, and then for ten years I have not had itchy scalp and dandruff, so I thought “why do I still buy shampoo to combat itchy scalp and dandruff when I do not have itchy scalp and dandruff,” so I stopped buying the shampoo for itchy scalp and dandruff and can you guess I have now? Can you predict what currently afflicts me? It’s alright if you can’t because apparently I fuckin couldn’t either
Cutting something out of your life because you think you don’t need it any more only to realize that it was in fact working as intended and preventing a problem that will return should you stop doing this is a good experiment to run periodically with something small like dandruff shampoo, lest you start to think it would be a good idea to do this with like let’s say public health and the social safety net and vaccines
I had a liver transplant when I was 14 and like six months later I was chatting with my surgeon and he said “there’s gonna come a time, probably when you’re a teenager, where you’re gonna think, ‘I feel great, why am I still taking all this medication? With the whole "Markiplier making his own DVD copies of Iron Lung to sell" thing, it's been fascinating and slightly concerning how many people seem to genuinely believe that if a physical release isn't coming from a giant corporation, it must automatically be a bootleg.
Look at me.
Look me directly in the eyes while I say this.
You can just make things.
You can simply create something and put it into the world.
That's allowed.
People have been doing it for centuries.
They sell blank VHS tapes. They sell blank DVDs. Blank CDs. You can buy flash drives by the bucketful if you really want to. If you create a movie, an album, a game, a documentary, or a four-hour video essay about the mating habits of fictional space goblins, you are entirely permitted to put that thing on physical media and sell it.
That is not piracy.
Piracy is taking something that belongs to someone else and reproducing or distributing it without permission.
If I buy a DVD of a movie, I own that copy of the movie. I do not own the movie itself. I didn't acquire the rights to duplicate it, press a thousand copies, and start selling them out of my garage like I've become the regional distributor for Warner Bros.
The copyright, distribution rights, and intellectual property still belong to whoever created it or whoever legally acquired those rights.
If I start burning copies of Iron Lung and selling them myself without Markiplier's permission, that's piracy.
If Markiplier, who made and owns the rights to Iron Lung, burns copies and sells them himself, that's just distribution.
He's the rights holder.
He's distributing his own work.
If you made it, if it came from your own mind, your own work, your own time, your own resources, then congratulations. You own the thing. You don't need a corporation to bless it with legitimacy.
The corporation is not what makes it real.
The fact that it exists is what makes it real.
I think we've accidentally spent so many years living inside a world dominated by mass-produced media that some people have developed the strange assumption that all media emerges from a factory somewhere. As if films naturally occur in shrink-wrapped plastic cases and descend from the heavens aboard a pallet truck.
But independent artists have been burning discs, dubbing tapes, printing books, pressing records, and mailing things directly to people for longer than many of us have been alive.
That's not a bootleg.
That's just a product.

So I just had a photoset from King Tuck cross my dash and it really got me thinking because this actually was a really fuckin’ cool episode like can I just talk about it for a sec
I mean just look at this fucking title card what a BAMF
Tucker is legit the descendent and/or reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh if you don’t think that’s the coolest shit then get out of my face, and let’s think about the world he transports them to, it’s obviously somewhere in the ghost zone, some ancient Egyptian kingdom probably cursed by their Pharaoh to await in limbo for his return (which would make a really interesting back-story hey), even if Tucker transports them back in the end that kingdom is still there somewhere
But what I found really interesting was how even though initially Duul Aman’s personality completely took Tucker over and it took Danny taking the sceptre from him to snap him out of it, at the end of the episode Tucker takes the sceptre back and remains in control
It usually annoys me how in this show when things take over Sam and Tucker it’s always Danny who snaps them out of it, they never get a chance to fight it off themselves (lookin’ at you Urban Jungle), but in this case Tucker did get control, but only after he was made aware that he was being controlled, that makes it a little more interesting, it makes it seem less like something was controlling and more like something was being brought forth within him, it would be more subtle and more natural and Tucker wouldn’t even realise it had happened until the connection was broken and he was snapped back to normal modern day Tucker
Even though this episode hardly gets acknowledged again (if at all) imagine if Tucker started remembering things from his time as a Pharaoh, started doing more research on Duul Aman, figured out more on who he was and what he was like and starts unlocking vague memories of a previous life, because it’s more likely that Tucker IS a reincarnation rather than just a descendent (although he could probably be both) because through this whole episode we don’t see Duul Aman at all, not as a ghost, not even as another voice in Tucker’s head, not as anything but Tucker
Because he ISN’T a separate entity, Duul Aman and Tucker are the same spirit, the sceptre is just used as a link to channel Duul Aman and bring his forgotten personality and memories forth
And maybe when Tucker’s older he actually goes out into the ghost zone and looks for this kingdom because he wants to know more, and he finds them still locked in time, incapable of evolving until the Pharaoh returns to break them out of their curse
The only question now is if Tucker decides to take his throne before or after he dies

Duul Amon ascended to the throne young- like “look at this sweet baby boy why are you making him be king” young
Very much the energy of that one post that talks about how King Tut was just a little kid who liked ducks when he was crowned.
Duul Amon was ~9 or 10.
He liked board games and puzzles and figurines and magic.
He had bad eyesight and had trouble learning archery and swordsmanship.
His family was poisoned- he wasn’t even first in line for the throne. The only reason he survived was because he snuck out of the banquet to pester Teth Adam.
Adam very much saw Duul Amon as his second chance only to have his history repeat itself in the worst possible way.
If Tucker and Black Adam ever see each other in the modern day (depending on when they meet for Adam) they are both in for a surprise
Because they both convinced themselves the other was right.
“Duul you were right all along. The gods are bastards who need to be taken down”
“Oooookay, but the plan to merge the living and dead realms was insane and wrong. Do you still know that? It’s important to me that you know that.”

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

Hey whoa hi. Hello. I am looking directly into your ear canal. What do you mean you drank a tube of virus concentrate.
So, I was working in a lab, right? My job in the lab was preparing a pure, concentrated enough sample of virus. This is tricky since, y'know, viruses require hosts to replicate, but you then need to get the host cells (and the pieces of the host cells that died!) out of the sample while still keeping the viruses. Once I'd finished and the samples had been sent to the database for analysis as well as a second one sent to be frozen for future reference, there was still some left over that needed to be disposed of.
I, knowing that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, waited carefully for the lab director to be deep in conversation with someone else on the other side of the laboratory. And then I took my chance.
Test tubes, as it turns out, are really bad as shot glasses. Their shape turns any liquid inside into a stream, so you really can't knock it back quickly - it takes a couple seconds. Additionally, the best way I can describe the taste of virus concentrate was "sterile rot". A very unique kind of bad! Made worse by the test tube's inefficiency as a shot glass.
(by the way we were studying bacteriophages, not animal viruses. these viruses are too specialized on attacking prokaryotes to even recognize our cells as targets at all, according to studies.)
(but also like. if the viruses managed to successfully switch hosts and killed me with a violent infection, itd still be worth it.)
