There's only one thing I miss about when Shakespeare was alive. And thats the understanding of his jokes. People often quote the line "a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet" but they dont understand why its such a funny line. Shakespeare's rival theater was called the rose. And it famously had a sewage problem.

I dont even like most of his plays but nowadays people look at me as if im crazy whenever I laugh at that line.
