I was thinking about how the reveal of Civilian X would affect the general public and now I cannot stop imagining the repercussions in people his age and below omg.
So, here is a non-exhaustive list of ways I think The X Reveal would impact popular culture and social media:
- The guy has such a NPC appearance that suddenly, there are a BUNCH of people who say "Oh. At last there is a Celebrity Look that is both Relatable and Easy to Achieve. I bet I could pull it off too. I'm going to look so cool"
- Suddenly everyone is wearing office suits.
- The freaking FAKE GLASSES trend has a comeback.
- Hairdressers start offering special bowlcut prices because they are doing. SO many.
- There is a veritable BUNCH of lanky teenagers that think "oh wow he looks like me frfr" so they start wearing the suit + glasses ensemble to the CLUB. In their mind it was spectacular. Actually they look like dorks (lovingly. They totally thought they were going to score. Bless their hearts)
- Another bunch of people realize that they DO have black suits in their closets, and they can get cheap glasses pretty easily! That's a nice idea for a TikTok trend... And suddenly everyone is doing transitions wearing the most extravagant, sweet, drippy outfits and BANG. Civilian X Look babyyyy
- A burger shop realizes that X IS actually the office worker that eats the Double Burger XXL Fries Menu practically every day, and HE APPEARS IN THE BACKGROUND OF ONE PHOTO HOLY SHIT. They post the picture as publicity and it goes viral.
- The TikTokers somehow manage to include the Double Burger XXL Fries Menu into their transitions, leading into The Great Ketchup Disaster of Year 42.
- An entire online war is sparkled on FOMO about whether Civilian X could be considered as a catfisher for not showing his real looks until now and whether it is "problematic" that he "romanticizes" "office workers and the oppressive work environment of most corporations"
- The concept "officecore" takes off, the TikTokers with their Civilian X looks are ECSTATIC. The Great Coffee Disaster of Year 42 follows shortly.
- There is a guy that looks a LOT like X and starts doing thirst traps. He goes extremely viral and suddenly his Trust Value starts rising and oh my god now he needs glasses for real. Miss J sues because "Treeman has the patent of that specific Trust Incentive method". The guy countersues because holy shit what. A HUGE legal battle ensues.
- X's FOMO account is discovered. He only posts pictures of strawberry shakes, rating them by presentation, yumminess and taste. There is one singular video of a card trick. Everyone loses their minds.
- The lanky suited up teenagers start carrying a deck of cards to the club. Bless their hearts x2.
- Everyone goes on the hunt for X's TikTok account. It's never found.
- Somewhere, in the depts of TikTok, there is a singular account that only posts bunny videos. But nobody will ever know.
