Not going to lie, got some major FOMO watching this performance on the livestream.

To me, this is what Coachella is about. Awesome instruments, great vocals, great sounds... all of this put together to make an epic performance. It's not about an intricate set and packing the stage with backup dancers. It's all about the music. Also, the song in general, for me at least, brings a bunch of nostalgia with it!

Please enjoy this epic performance by Moby and surprise guest, Jacob Lusk... who (admittedly) I did not know much about before this performance. The introduction to new artist... another great thing about the Empire Polo grounds!

I know there was a lot of hype going into this Halftime show this year. I honestly thought he was a good performance. It does all happen pretty fast though and we had to go back a rewatch. In that, we caught things we didn't see the first time.

I think for the most part Bad Bunny played it safe and his performance seem to focus on inclusion, unity and love. Not a bad message to get behind.

Just like that, we've arrived to the last day of 2025!

Oh December...! The last month of 2024!

We've arrived to the last month of the year and we're all so lucky to have done so. This last quarter of the year is always so much fun!

For October, of course we gave out candy again. This year I even had a bag left over, which was better than running out of it! Buster loves to see the trick-or-treators and give out candy. We also got to dress Sophie in her little mousey costume.

November is always nice! Ritual had an anniversary party, so I got to go to that with my bro-in-law and his cousin. It was also my sister's b-day, so we all went out to eat Sushi with her.

And, or course, it's also Alejandra's b-day. I had the idea of taking Alejandra out for her B-Day, but plans had to change. And, as it so happens, that was a rough nice getting Sophie to get to bed. We think she might've been going through some growing pains.

Also, Thanksgiving! Such a wonderful holiday and a great opportunity to remind ourselves of the blessings we have. This year, we hosted it at our house.

Gosh the time has gone quick! It’s also my mom’s birthday birthday too, so we had a nice dinner. Happy Birthday, mom!!!!

Should have made this post sooner, but better slightly late than never. At the end of last month, we welcomed in a new family member! Our little Sophia Saldana was born September 28th, 2024. Here are some pictures spread out from then till now.

Getting closer and closer to arriving...

We had a baby shower this past weekend!

It was a great time! We're so thankful to our family that came together and made this happen. The heat was brutal. You can't tell in these pictures, but mid day was over 100 degrees. The cold drinks helped.

Haven’t been here in a while. I guess that’s how it goes sometimes.

Since I was last here, we’ve informed all of our family that we’re expecting and that she’s due to arrive this fall!

We’re trying to still do stuff like we for the most part would normally do. Alejandra has been doing great throughout it all. People have asked me “so you’re pregnant?” I jokingly respond: ‘yes, well im not, my wife is.” I understand what they’re saying in asking. I understand the answer is yes. But I also think that enough credit can’t go to the mother. What happens to their body is fascinating in the best humanly way possible. They literally carrying the weight of the child. I’m just here to be any kind of support she needs while the bun in the oven bakes. It’s all crazy and very exciting!

We do feel like the pups know something is up, but I don’t think they know a new member of the family is in the way. They’re definitely actually a little different. Slightly more protective over the mama. They’re adjusting, I guess. I think we all are.

Too kick off the start of summer, we spent the weekend in Newport.

It was a nice local getaway. A good little distraction.

We have a dove that laid an egg right outside our backyard. She’s been there for about a week and a half now. We’re keeping an eye on it to see when it hatches. She’s been pretty dedicated, there day in and day out so hopefully it all goes smooth for her.

We’ve also had a bunny that’s been visiting us.

There’s also a gopher snake that’s been jumping around between ours and our neighbors back yard, but they aren’t as photogenic as the bunny. Alejandra has spotted our roadrunner friend Jerry around, but I haven’t seen him so haven’t had the chance to snap a picture.
