Trans related meme I found on Pinterest
waiting for people to realise 30 is literally young and a lot of people in their 30s could easily pass for 20s because there’s not that much difference
You are never too talkative for someone who likes to hear you, you are never too annoying for someone who find your little actions cute, you are never too depressed for someone who knows what you went through, You are never too late for someone who awaits to see you all day, you are never too far for someone who loves you...

idk how to explain that i don't like saying i "have" long covid in most circumstances because i want people to understand i don't have some special condition, COVID did this to me, viruses can disable you and nobody knows exactly why and we are so scared and in the dark.
viruses always did this to some people and we never figured out why, doctors that knew never advocated for these people and have treated us like the modern day "hysteria", it is an emergency for everone that COVID both does this in a much larger scale than other viruses and also affects EVERYONE'S immune system which then makes you more likely to end up like us.
we barely understand which viruses cause me/cfs, if COVID really causes it or if each virus can cause a different subtype of post-viral illness... it's a mess, the only thing im sure of is that women and people with endrocrine systems, neurodivergent people, especially autistic and hypermobile people are much more likely to become disabled by viruses, (autistic people are also much more likely to be trans so thats another vulnerable group).
my last hope is that neurodivergent people and/or women becoming aware of illnesses that affect them more, like endo, PMOS, autoimmune disease and post-viral chronic illness will make people wake up and get mad at all this historical neglect.
this is so blatantly eugenicist. even if 99% wasn't a huge cope, does it not affect the healthy people in any way to have friends become bedbound, chronically ill, getting cancer and heart disease? you genuinely have to beg the edgy left for basic decency and empathy when it comes to disabled people.
if you believe the pandemic ended even though the excess deaths and disability has not, just because your government told you so, do you believe the genocide in Gaza has ended too? why is it easier to acknowledge the suffering far away from you but not in the people around you?
Also, no one is immune from becoming disabled or dying from COVID (not just in the acute phase but also as a result of the cumulative systemic damage COVID infections cause to your whole body). COVID never went anywhere, it never stopped spreading unchecked year-round (yes, there are waves in the summer and winter but it's literally spreading constantly and even if the limited data available claims the levels are low, low risk doesn't mean no risk and that's supposedly low levels based on limited data so we don't even have an accurate idea of how bad it is because we'd collectively rather pretend it's firmly in the past) and it never stopped infecting, disabling, and killing people. The fact that the vast majority of people would rather pretend it's no longer a threat has no bearing on the reality that it is very much still a threat, but it does mean that instead of fighting for measures that would benefit us all and taking precautions to minimize their risk of infection, disability, and death as a result of the damage, they've got their heads buried in the sand.
it will pass ..

Ten years later, this bit still slaps. They made a great pun and realized they could be nice/inclusive with it too.
Give me less "being kind requires zero effort" and more "being kind is worth the effort it takes."
Let me tell you, as a woman who's been on this earth for some time now, kindness is not effortless. Performing a kind act requires you to be observant, present, aware, cognizant of potential misunderstandings or needs, and then requires the push to interact with a potential stranger. And that's before whatever you're doing to *be* kind.
It's exhausting. It's challenging. It's sometimes heartbreaking. But it is always worth it. Always.
Just remember, kindness requires action. It's a form of love, and love is a verb.
Be active: be kind.
Love you.

Reason to Live #14161
Live for the delight of realizing things get better and the world is not constrained to the little bubble of what worldview you have formed for yourself. Live to know there is something and someone out there that will instill insurmountable joy within you.

A lot of trauma survivors spend years asking “Why am I like this?”
Sometimes a more useful question “Is this harming me?”
Because not everything that comes from trauma needs to be removed. You don’t need to know why you have a certain kink or are a certain way. If it isn’t harming you, it doesn’t really need solving. It can just exist.

Had a dream where Johnny from “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” came out as a trans woman and the response was so unanimously positive it reversed nearly all of the transphobic bills in the South. She played live in Georgia to an audience of about a third of the US.
