hello diz i wanted to say that your art growth has been amazing to watch after several years and ive been a quiet follower for years. i saw you returned from japan recently and hope you had a blast! i will be going to japan for a month tomorrow i am visiting some of my extended family and i am so excited as i haven't been in over 10 years. i hope during my junior year or college i can come back for an entire semester as well. im a big twst player like yourself and will have 4 days in tokyo (my family live in a rural area down south) so do you have any recs for twst related stores or must visits? thank you diz 🙌🏻

I hope you have fun in Japan!! That’s awesome that you will get to see family! Here are some stores I recommend for cheap second hand twst merch:

Bookoff - you can find bookoff anywhere in Tokyo, they are super common! My favorite one is on the west side of shinjuku station! The less popular the area, the cheaper the merch though…

K-books - mostly in Ikebukuro, but one bigger one in Akihabara. In ikebukuro there are about 5 or more k-books and each one has different genre of merch, so make sure to find the right one for twst merch!

Lashinbang - there are many of these in ikebukuro and akihabara. You never know what you’ll find here! I was super lucky at one in Fukuoka and found some cheap black butler figures!

Toranoana - in Ikebukuro. this store is for doujinshi only! It’s a little hard to find as it’s on the 7th floor of an unassuming building, but it’s worth it!! The doujinshi here are organized sooo nicely and there is a huge twst section.

As for official new merch, try animate in ikebukuro!

Ahh thank you!! It’s actually my last night in Japan tonight ;o; I’m sad the trip is ending, but I’m probably ready to get home and relax a little. Travel is exhausting!!

A big highlight was getting to visit the town where I used to live :’) It was so nostalgic. And someone actually recognized me and we talked a bit! It was someone who worked at the 7/11 that was by my apartment. I was so shocked, but I guess I did go there almost every day for 2 years xD

Also hanging out a bunch with my BFF that I haven’t seen in years was amazing I love them so much @miilkglass ❤️❤️❤️❤️
