“For it isn't your Father or Mother or Wife,
Whose judgement you have to pass,
The feller whose verdict counts most in your life,
Is the guy staring back from the glass.”

I don’t give much weight to outside noise.
I’m either my best friend or my worst enemy — but the verdict is mine.

Writer's vacation, a murder at 11 pm, and a series outline 😅
Dear Readers,
This is officially your fault. And Kat's (@thatfanficstuff). 😇
I wrote a one-shot about a police officer asking out Jack Abbot. YOU jumped on that and liked it.
Then I was apparently forced to write a non-smutty companion piece that was basically Valentine's Day slander. YOU liked that even more. 😂
So I started a cute little series.
That series now has ten chapters and counting.
I spent my two-week vacation writing Chapters 8 through 10 so I could keep the biweekly posting schedule no matter what life throws my way. 💪📚
Yes, that means I'm buffering chapters now.
For once, Future Me is not being left completely unsupervised. 😎
Then, while working on Chapter 10, I needed a nickname for Morgan. Unfortunately for all of us, Kat's fic A Little Secret (Rabbot x Reader) was living rent-free in my head. 🦝
The rest is history.
Then I finished Chapter 10, fully intending to move on to other projects. Preferably smaller ones.
Instead, at 11 pm, I murdered Colleen Fernandez and started looking for somewhere to dump the body. 🔪
The good news is: I now have an outline for the rest of the series.
Finally. 🎉
So I can promise both you and myself that these two idiots will only drag us through about ten more chapters. Give or take. 🚔☕❤️
Complaints may be left in the comments, sent to my inbox, or directed at Kat, who reblogged some of my very first fics long before most of you had ever heard of me.
Thank you, Kat. 💙
I'm also still trying to process the fact that the SFW version of this series made it onto @finco99's May Reads Fic Rec List. 😳
Trust me, the neighbours saw me jumping.
And thank you to everyone who keeps reading along, commenting, reblogging, screaming at fictional police officers, and encouraging what was supposed to be a one-shot. 😊
My very first real series, ‘Of Serpents, Magic & Wings’, is officially complete at 11 entries! 🐍✨🪽
Bowing deeply to everyone who followed that journey. ❤️
‘This is the End’.
Now, that opens up a spot for a new series beside ‘Between Always & Never’. 📚
And you can get a word in without having to say a word.
I’ll let you vote.
Well, first I’ll introduce the fighters candidates, starting July 5th. ⚔️
Each series concept gets two pitches.
📌 First pitch – Sunday evening:
Series header + excerpt
📌 Second pitch – Friday evening:
Moodboard + a general description of the series themes
🔥 Week One – Chicago PD – Spot On
Jay Halstead/Greg ‘Mouse’ Gerwitz/fem!reader
M/F/M triangle
⚔️July 5th First Pitch 🎨July 10th Second Pitch
🩸 Week Two – John Wick – What Counts
John Wick/fem!reader
M/F slow burn
⚔️July 12th First Pitch 🎨July 17th Second Pitch
🏥 Week Three – Emergency Room – Matches
Dr. John Carter/fem!reader
M/F enemies to lovers
⚔️July 19th First Pitch 🎨July 24th Second Pitch
🚒 Week Four – 911 – Adults are Stupid!
Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley & Eddie Diaz
3rd person POV
Family tension
⚔️July 27th First Pitch 🎨July 31st Second Pitch
🎲 Week Five – Community Wild Card
Throw me ideas, or I might throw one more candidate at you.
⚔️August 3rd First Pitch 🎨August 7th Second Pitch
Since the currently running series is a The Pitt series, that fandom isn't on the list. I already have a concept for the next The Pitt series though – I won't turn down ideas. 😉
I haven't yet decided whether I'll be delighted or offended if some of you demand that I simply switch ‘Between Always & Never’ to weekly postings. 😆
Ideas can be thrown into the comments, in reblogs, or into my inbox until the 24th of July. 📬
And if you say nothing, you'll still get to vote after all candidates have had their turn. Starting 7th of August🗳️
I just read about reports that AI companies (or companies buying data on their behalf) have been purchasing large numbers of books from European antiquarian bookshops, cutting the bindings off, scanning them, and then destroying the physical copies to create training datasets.
The practice itself isn't entirely new—court documents in the US have already shown that millions of legally purchased books were destructively scanned for AI training. What is raising concern now is that antiquarian booksellers across Europe are reporting unusual bulk purchases of out-of-print and highly specialized titles, exactly the kinds of books that are difficult or impossible to replace once they're gone.
For me, the legal debate is only part of the issue.
The ethical question is: should rare physical books be treated as disposable raw material?
A digital scan is not the original book. It doesn't preserve the object itself—its binding, paper, printing, annotations, provenance, or other physical characteristics that historians, librarians, collectors, and researchers value. Once a rare copy has been cut apart and recycled, that specific artifact is gone forever.
Another concern is that AI training is largely irreversible in practice. If copyrighted material is later found to have been used unlawfully, you can't simply "delete the book" from a trained model the way you delete a file from a hard drive. At the same time, you also can't restore the destroyed physical copies.
I find that combination deeply troubling: an irreversible digital process built on the irreversible loss of physical cultural objects.
Whether you support AI development or not, I think it's worth asking where we draw the line between technological progress and preserving our cultural heritage.
As a German, the deliberate destruction of books carries a particularly troubling historical significance for me. And for me, the answer is simple: No. Cultural heritage should not be destroyed.
For Chapter 9 Jack wanted to give us a tour through his neighborhood. I thought, what a nice idea. Night time walk - no research required.
But where in Mount Washington does he live? I needed a parking lot and an elevator and a view.
But definitely not the front-facing hillside off Grandview Avenue. So, Maple Terrace 206 it was. Very Jack.
Now, the tour. I wanted roughly a two-hour tour and a stop for hot soup along the way.
Then Jack gave me a hiking trip in the middle of Pittsburgh and raced me up the Halpin Street Steps. I got hungry. So, food it was. And 'Bigham Tavern' jumped me with perfect opening hours (until 2 am) and their Black and Gold 'Rogie Bowl.
Now, in the next chapter we have to get back home. And since Jack is Jack - we're taking the long way round. Of course not because of the view...
I hope you enjoy my two-chapter Mount Washington travel guide. 😄

Monday wants to kill you or or make you kill someone. One wrong step, one very handsome silver fox who works at PTMC and whose first name begins with J. There can only be one!
warnings: I hate Mondays! All described events and people are purley fictional ;) And all my collegues are still alive - I hope.
It’s Monday. A power outage took out your alarm clock. So, you’re fifteen minutes late. The shirt you put on first this morning had a spot that resisted the washing machine. Your travel mug’s cover broke when you pushed it off the counter in your haste this morning. And you found your driver's-side window decorated by a cryptic handwritten note ‘Mark 412-555-7318’. You don’t know a Mark that would leave his number on your car. Now you’re sitting on the bottom of the two steps leading into your favourite coffee shop – in your rush to make up for lost time your feet missed a step.
And of course, people stop and stare. You’re gathering a small crowd. Taking a breath, you put your right hand on the ground to push yourself up. And pull it back with a yelp – that hurt.
“Hey, let me help you.” A silver-haired guy is kneeling beside you and gently reaches for your scraped hand.
He takes your slightly bleeding hand into his warm one.
“I’m Jack Abbot – ED attending at PTMC.”
“PTMC? The hospital?”
“Yes. The scrapes are superficial.” He lets go of your hand. “Does anything else hurt?”
“My...my,” you point to your lower right side unsure if you mean your thigh, hip or behind.
He nods, “Can I touch that to see how serious this is?”
You nod and he rolls you onto your uninjured side while poking at the sore spots, asking “Did you hit your head?”
“No, just my pride and any chance to make it to work on time.”
His prodding proves it’s just your outer hip that’s painful. Next you know, he’s cleaning and bandaging your hand.
“Well, it looks as if nothing’s broken. Can you get up?”, he’s holding out a hand. You take it and he puts you back on your feet.
“Thank you. I should be on my way. I’ve held you up long enough.”
He gives you a stern look, “Cool the hip at work. If the pian gets worse get checked in the ED. If you have trouble moving – same. If the hand swells or shows any sign of infection – same.”
The rest of your battle with this particular Monday didn’t produce any more positive results. The auditors had taken over your 2-desk office, so you had to work in the 4-person office that always had a free desk because Alex’s phone calls in there could be heard by the entire department. Not to mention that being in the same office with her meant, things she promised but didn’t have the time for landed on your desk. Then some genius accepted a delivery of two desks which were meant for another company in the building. And of course, it was your job to trot up three flights of stairs – with your tender hip – locate the person responsible in the other company and get them to organize the pickup. By 3 pm you were supremely grateful that the number of dangerous weapons around you was fairly limited. Yes, there was that saying: ‘Smile because you can’t kill them all.’ Today, however, it felt less like advice and more like a challenge. By 4 pm you concluded that the injuries you sustained on your way to work justified leaving an hour early – and before you pushed someone out a window.
You slipped out the office while Alex had left for a moment. Outside one hasty step reminds you sharply that your hip has taken a fall today. Stopping you notice the Dunkin Donut sign “Donut Tuesday 6 Donuts $12, 12 Donuts $20. That reminded you of the only silver lining today. Well, more of the handsome, competent silver fox with the warm hands. He worked in the ED of PTMC. But you couldn’t remember his name. The name on his takeaway cup had started with J though. Everything else had been hidden by his fingers. You decide finding an attractive silver fox whose first name starts with J in an ED can’t be harder than anything else you got done today. So, you walk into the shop and choose two dozen donuts for him and his coworkers and get him a black double espresso. You stare at the cup for a moment. Then you borrow a marker from the counter and write ‘Thank you’ on the side. After a second's consideration, you add your name and phone number underneath.
It took you a while to get to PTMC and find a parking space during the evening rush hour. By the time you managed to reach admitting and convince the tough nurse in front of you of your honest intentions to just deliver a thank you; it was after 6 pm. As per her instructions you headed straight for what she’d called the hub. Two nurses were standing behind the counter. A thin blonde and a plus-sized redhead. You put up your first real smile today and said, “Hello, I’m looking for an employee, who helped me after a fall this morning. He has silver hair and his first name starts with J.”
The Blonde eyes the donut boxes, “If some of those are for all of us you can leave them here. I’ll find Jesse for you.” She turns 90 degrees and yells “Jesse! Get your ass over here. You have a visitor.”
The Redhead looks somewhat sceptical, “You sure she means Jesse, Dana?”
"Silver hair and J? That's Jesse."
“What about Abbot?”
“Abbot doesn’t just help people – he drags them in here like lost puppies to treat them properly.”
“Fair enough.”
“Excuse me.”
A handsome silver fox steps up beside you. You don’t think you’ve seen him before. But how many attractive silver foxes can one ED have?
“Where’s the visitor?”
“Right beside you, Jesse.”
He turns, studies you and looks a little confused. “How can I help you?”
“You helped me this morning? After my fall?”
Jesse furrows his brow. He looks genuinely puzzled for a second.
"Maybe?" he offers.
“Anyway, I just wanted to thank you properly. I brought donuts for you and your colleagues – of course. And here’s your coffee. Since my accident prevented you from getting on this morning.”
You hold out the cup to him and he takes it.
“Thank you, for the coffee and the donuts.” He looks at the cup, turns it and sees your message.
“Did your hip get worse or your hand?” comes a voice from behind you. And you know that voice. It’s his. You turn on your heel, letting out a sharp hiss as your hip protests the sudden movement. And there he is. Your silver fox from this morning. Wearing black doctor’s scrubs and a name tag ‘Dr. Jack Abbot’. He steps forward immediately to stabilize you as you as you flinch from the pain and the realization.
While this is good news, as a German who checked the linked court ruling, please keep in mind: this was a decision by the Landgericht München I, roughly equivalent to a U.S. District Court.
Google can and likely will appeal. The case could eventually end up before the Bundesgerichtshof (BGH), Germany's highest civil court.
What's important here is that, for the first time, a German court questioned whether AI chatbot disclaimers really protect companies from liability and basically said "no".
That's significant. But it's not settled law yet. There is still a long way to go, and it will probably take another one or two years before we know if higher courts agree.
We often treat commenting and kudosing as transactional, but I’d like to propose a different perspective.
A fandom is like a community garden; the plants and trees are fanworks, the paths and benches are structures like ao3 and kinkmemes and themed weeks or months. Comments, and kudos? Those are fertiliser. You don’t necessarily see them at work, but they make the trees grow stronger and the flowers bloom brighter. When you comment on a fic or piece of fanart, you are nourishing our shared garden and helping to make the soil fertile for future works.
I want commenters to feel proud of that contribution. Whether you turn up with a wheelbarrow of the stuff to tip on your favourite flowerbed or just drop a heart emoji in the donations box, you are helping to make the soil richer, the garden more beautiful.
And you know what? Sometimes you need to just sit in the garden without feeling obliged to do anything to maintain it. That’s okay. It’s your garden too! As an author, I don’t want people coming to my stories with a sense of obligation; I want them to be able to enjoy them and be restored by them. If they don’t have the energy to comment right now, that’s okay.
But a comment isn’t the price of an entry ticket to someone else’s garden; it’s an investment in your garden, in your community. You won’t always see it bear fruit, won’t always know what part of the whole it helped grow. But you can know what you put in, and feel proud of being part of the team nourishing and maintaining this wonderful space we all share.
And whatever you do, please—don’t litter, or tell other people they’re enjoying the garden wrong.
Anyways, this is the end of this Good Omens series.
My very first real series is complete.
And honestly? What a journey this has been.
Making the headers and dividers nearly drove me mad at times. But all is well that ends well.
I do have ideas for a small bonus encore and maybe even a second “case.”
If I’ll find the time for it? We’ll see.
Before I go though, I want to sincerely thank the readers who liked and reblogged this series and the amazing blogs that helped spread it beyond my own corner of Tumblr. Not to mention the ones who helped me choose the quotes for What History Forgot and Not Forgotten.
Seeing people return for new chapters, reblog scenes, or give this story a chance genuinely meant a lot to me.

I'm making this because I can't handle design tools . Then I hit a wall trying to make a line divider in a specific colour. I stubled into this "work-a-round" by accicent when I made my first cut out dividers.
This tutorial uses the free version of FotoJet.
Go to https://www.fotojet.com and choose Make a Collage
2. Click Photo Grid under Classic Collage
3. Pick the very first Layout option - the blanc canvas (auto size is 1200 x 1200 px)
4. Go to the Background side tab
5. To choose a custom colour click on the blanc circle with a cross
You can change the canvas size at the bottom.
1200 px works well for Tumblr dividers.
40 px is the minimum height you can choose here. It creates a thicker divider.
6. For colour picking you can enter a hexa code or move the small dot in the colour field and the white bar in the colour range.
7. Now click the Download tab on top of the page in the middle. You can type in a name for the file. Click Downlaod to well download.
8. This is the pop-up you'll see in the free version. Just click on Download for Free Now
9. Open the Collage dropdown and select Edit
10. Click “Yes” on the confirmation popup. You will get to the Photo Editor. In the Photo Editor, click Open and upload your downloaded base image.
11. You will automaticly start in Edit Mode. Here choose the first option under Basic Crop. Set the values under Freeform to 1200 by 10 px and you get a thin line divider.
12. Now you can download and create a thicker divider by setting the cut out value higher.
As there are plenty more editing options you can absolutly customize dividers with text, effects & overlays. Like this little fellor under here.
If you're interested in a step by step for that let me know.
I made my first tutorial because I accidentally found a way to make custom Tumblr dividers without fighting actual design software. Don't know if anyone needs this - but here it is anyway.
The last two chapters of this series are written. It’s strange how one little fic about an idealistic witch turned into a whole ten-chapter series.
This was the first series I ever found the courage to write. And every person who liked, commented on, or reblogged a chapter helped make the next one happen. A special thank you goes to the blogs who reblogged chapters — sometimes even more than one. 💛
Right now I have “ein lachendes und ein weinendes Auge” — part of me is happy I finished it, and part of me is sad we’re almost through. 🥹
Most of all, I hope my series ending will be more satisfying for you than the Good Omens finale. 😇😈
I’m still not entirely sure what comes next, so if there’s something you’d like to see from me next, let me know.
But first, you still get Chapter 9: “Reclaiming and Restoration” next week. 📖🕯️
I never planned any of this.
I absolutely did not.
I wanted to write one hot little one-shot for my Warmanuary project. I picked Jack Abbot. Then I picked him a date - an adult professional who neither works with him, under him nor for him.
And because the two worked so well together, I gave them a Valentine’s Day shift. Because neither of them is the roses-and-love-poems type. 🌹🚫
And I thought that was it.
But then they got stuck in my head.
And YOU – yes, you readers – liked them too. ❤️
So I decided to give them a small series. Ten chapters max. Different POVs. Adult relationship. Professional stress. Some case work. And, naturally, sex. I was absolutely convinced these two would end up in bed at least every second chapter. 🔥
Then Chapter 3 happened.
Apparently two adults working 12-hour shifts would rather shower, decompress and sleep than rip each other’s clothes off every five minutes. 😴
Chapter 4 took wrestling. Literal wrestling. 💪
Chapter 5 went smoothly – I thought.
Then Chapter 6 handed me a concussion and suddenly Jack was very firmly not interested in fooling around with an injured partner.
And now?
I finished planning Chapter 7 and these idiots are getting DOMESTIC.
Domestic.
As in:
working out together 🏋️
going out for breakfast 🥞
discussing work boundaries
acting like responsible adults with emotional attachment issues 🙄
Excuse me? I had plans for you two. Hot plans. 🔥
But no. They insist on being respectful, caring and emotionally functional enough to communicate. Terrible behaviour from fictional characters, honestly.
And because these stubborn idiots apparently dragged the series in that direction, I finally gave in and adjusted Chapters 1, 3 and 4 so “Between Always & Never” can launch on my SFW blog too. ✨
Honestly? The fact that NSFW Chapter 4 got the least engagement of the entire series definitely helped me make that decision. 📉😂
So for everyone who enjoys these two without the explicit scenes:
I’ll start posting one SFW chapter every Sunday until the side blog catches up with the main series. 📚
And for everyone who does enjoy the hot takes:
Don’t worry. I’m working on it. 😏 If necessary, I’ll just write extra in-between stories for the two of them.
Also: after Chapter 7 goes live Thursday, I’ll post a poll so you all can vote on what you want more of:
fluff, hurt, case work, angst or smut. 📊
And if you don’t want to wait - comments, asks and messages are always welcome.
It still feels incredibly strange to say “my readers.” I’ve never had those before. ❤️

So, if you’ve ever wanted to send a request, ask about a fic, scream about a scene, or throw ideas at me: my ask box is open. 😉
If you’re unsure how to format a request, don’t worry about making it “perfect.” You can send:
a full fic idea
a single scene idea
or just a few bullet points like:
gn / fem / male reader x character
(anyone I’ve already written for is fine)
hurt/comfort / angst / drama / smut
first date / case fic / competence porn
exclusions or hard no’s
You can also include up to three:
quotes
gifs or pictures
songs or playlists
if there’s a specific mood or scene you want included.
And asks about existing fics are always welcome too -- whether it’s background info, questions, headcanons, missing scenes, or short follow-up pieces.
You can send requests anonymously. In that case, they’ll get a tracking number based on the request date -- like A05-07-2026 for the current one. 😻
(For anyone curious: the current request is officially “in development” - Building plans scanned, floor plan adjustments complete, scaffolding being placed.)
I’ll take on requests if they fit my interests and I have the time for them. Some highly specific lived experiences or identity-focused stories may also depend on whether I feel able to do them justice.
I will not write:
non-consensual or dubiously consensual content
sexual interactions involving minors
RPF (real person fiction)
Requests for dividers, headers, moodboards, or blog sets go through my Ko-fi commission form (when commissions are open).
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
I’m generally not a fan of criticizing a feature without at least trying to think through possible alternatives, so here’s a version of this idea that would make more sense to me.
Instead of splitting notes across every reblog in a way that fragments the conversation, the original post could remain the central node that accumulates the total note count and credit for the creator. That keeps attribution clear and preserves the existing structure of Tumblr’s reblog chains.
At the same time, individual reblogs could track their own likes locally. That would allow Tumblr to see which versions of a post are actually resonating — whether that’s funny commentary, thoughtful additions, or meta in the tags — without removing engagement from the original post.
Those signals could then be used to surface particularly successful reblogs within the thread (for example “most liked reblog” or similar), rather than splitting the entire note ecosystem apart.
That way the platform would still recognize when someone meaningfully contributes to a post, while keeping the creator credit and the shared note pool that Tumblr’s reblog culture is built around.
Adding this because people in the notes are bringing up something important (and this lines up with what staff said about “giving every voice in a chain credit”):
It’s not really about whether reblogs have their own likes — it’s that OPs can lose track of their own post and stop seeing how people are engaging with it.
That’s why I think the total note count + notifications need to stay centralized on the original post, even if reblogs get their own local engagement.
That way you can give individual reblogs recognition without breaking visibility for the original creator.
Otherwise you end up with quote tweet hell where the original creator just disappears from the conversation.
