Good: Discovering one of your favorite fic writers has migrated to Interview with the Vampire show fandom and has written a bunch of fics, yay!
Oh Dear: They really didn't like some things from The Vampire Lestat season. Which I respect, and can even understand some of their complaints. (They're things that I'm willing to give the writers the benefit of the doubt on, because I think the character changes are valid within the context of the show.)
Still Good: The fic writer's stories are still amazing, and yay, new fic to read!

🪽31st week of 2026
Even with everything happening in fandom lately, I find myself living more and more in the real world.
Maybe that’s why this week’s Hobonichi spread turned into an ocean.
🪼 I finally wrapped up What remains unbroken on AO3: finished all the formatting, updated the cover with the beautiful artwork by @kathscapes, and even used the Ficbook coins I won in a writing contest to promote it tomorrow.
🪼 I’ve noticed an interesting pattern.
Whenever I start feeling exhausted by the translation, something on AO3 seems to come alive.
A new reader appears.
A thoughtful comment arrives.
Some small reminder that all of this matters.
And somehow, every single time, it gives me the energy to keep going.
For the past nine months, I’ve poured an incredible amount of myself into this story almost every single day.
If someone had sat me down before I published the very first chapter and explained everything that was waiting for me…
I think I still would have said yes.
Because LS has given me so much more than the experience of publishing a story.
It brought remarkable people into my life.
It taught me things I never expected to learn.
And it gave me a kind of joy that no statistics page could ever measure 💙
