He picked up the box and acorns fell out through a die-cut hole in the side of it.

So he opened the box and found evidence that a little mouse had been sleeping in his slipper. No poops, just warm bedding. Warm bedding and a million acorns that some critter had gone through the trouble of not only bringing into our home, but then also climbing up into this box to stash.
