On this International Cat Day I'd like to honour my cats who passed away in the previous months - both of them quite suddenly.

Hi Nicole! I’m the one who asked about advice for not freaking out about my cat’s dental cleaning. Thank you❤️ I did calm myself down quite a bit and was even able to do some productive things while waiting for the call that I could pick her up. We are home and though it has been some hours she is still feeling the effects of the anesthesia, but I have been told that’s normal, so she is going to be spoiled af when she really gains control of her body and brain again. But I’m so glad that I scheduled it because apparently she had a cracked tooth! And I have no clue how or when she got it. They ended up pulling it, and said that everything else looks completely perfect so that’s great! But she is going to be on a strict wet-food and paté only diet for a few days, and she is banned from biting her toys for the next week, which is going to be hard because she loves her dry food and biting her toys.

Hi Nicole, do you have any tips for like chilling the fuck out about taking my cat to the vet?? I’ve been to the vet with her before, she rates the vet a -100/10, btw, but she’s getting her first dental clean tomorrow morning and I’m worried since she’ll be given anesthesia. I do trust the vet and obviously I’ll follow the rules the vet office gave about absolutely no food after 10pm today. But I’m just completely not chill, and also what if my baby hates me after this??? She didn’t hate me after any of the other times after the vet, I’m just not rational right now and I’m being dumb by thinking of worst case scenarios, I know. Sorry, if it’s a dumb question but you’re the only person I know of that has a cat or cats, and you also just seem like a very calm and logical person, at least outside of race week when people fuck up things for Charles.
