anyway in my country we usually use spoons and forks instead of forks and knives during meals. we're also asian so nearly every meal has rice. mini me was flabbergasted when they found out that the rest of the world doesn't always eat it every lunch and dinner

in Argentina is normal to greet people with a kiss on the cheek, mostly with family and friends but it's also normal to do it with people we just met. There's also this thing where we sit together and drink mate (a hot drink that's basically water and leaves, kinda like tea but not exactly) people talk while someone brews the mate and passes it around, everyone drinks from the same one (yep, even the same straw) and we chat while passing the mate around so everyone had a sip (I personally don't like it so I don't drink it lolz)
Here we find every excuse to hang out, that's something that I love about my country, we have a lot of ways to be together :3

In France, it's also a norm to greet people with a kiss on the cheek. Tho if a man greets another man, they usually just shake hands. But during/after the covid some people decided to greet each other by hitting our elbows against each other or fist bumping lol.
And depending on which region of France you're from, the number of kisses may vary. For example, the most common one is a kiss on each cheek. (I also think the order depends on the region but I'm not sure.) In the south, it's 4!! (I do this everytime I see my grandma since that's where she's from.) In the south-east, it's 3. Anyway you get the idea x)
And yes it DOES get pretty confusing if you travel around France, or if you have family scattered everywhere that you only see every two years or so 😭
