Well maybe you can! I've been designing a shaker charm for the past two months, and I'm aaaaaallllmost done. Some colours are subject to change due to printed colours being physically unable to directly match computer colours, but that's a given. I will also be making at Least two designs for each Idol, their Splatoween and Grandfest outfits as regular charms, and Maybe a print if i can come up with something good enough. This will all be sold on a personal store, with Maybe an etsy as well for browsing that will have higher prices due to the cut they take, with a disclaimer pointing to the cheaper site. In any case, what i want to know is.....

a bunch of archives of incredibly important government datasets like maternal mortality statistics are about to be deleted forever. in a regime where they're known to fudge numbers, we can't trust a lot of the data coming from them to not be altered. open source backups like those found on data.world are vital to being able to verify that the data coming from our government is still intact and not altered. and they're about to delete all of it.

i don't know if we need to start a petition or what. nobody seems to fucking care. there are millions of users on data.world and yet nobody is raising the alarm bells and it makes me feel like I'm going insane. somebody needs to do something. i don't know what to do. it feels like more and more of this world is being destroyed and dismantled. it's not only US centric data, either! it's all sorts of countries from around the world! and they're about to fucking delete everything.

the only things that won't be deleted are private companies who happen to use the paid version of their platform (which isn't accessible data to the open source community; some people have just been using their service to host their own data on privately)

and the kicker? this announcement was made... via an AI generated blog post. so not even any sort of human touch. just a generic, soulless announcement made by a soulless human about to take a wrecking ball to one of the more important websites that exists on the internet.

For our city of around 50k people there are 8 of us.

Also, crack sealing is a wholly temporary measure, meant to slow the break-up of the roads, it’s not a permanent fix.

Roads tend to get closed for months on end because we have to tear the whole thing up, then, depending on the class of road, we either have to hammer-drill into concrete to lay rebar and the pour concrete, or we can get straight to paving. If it’s a road requiring concrete we’re required to wait at least 24 hours for it to set.

So after 2 days we’re finally able to pave. But the city allocates one (two if we’re lucky) 5 ton truck to transport material.

A relatively short paving job requires at a minimum of 60 tons. So that’s 12 trips to the asphalt factory and back. Each ton is around $80.

TL;DR

Welcome back to another Yoglabs update!

I've been quite busy as usual these past few weeks or has it been months already? For starters, someone on the Shadow of Israphel discord server I'm on shared with me their own Yoglabs replica to my absolute suprise. I have scoured it up and down and checked the accuracy of both. I then came to the realization that a bunch of stuff was off about my map. I have gotten permission from them to "patch" my map with whatever mistakes I discovered whilst exploring theirs. They won't be working on it anymore so I figured it would be a waste to let such a good replica collect dust. This replica had most of the main rooms including the entire front gate with terrain. Speaking of which, I now have an ideal method of redoing the front of Yoglabs without needing to start from scratch. Their version was way more accurate so I meticulously pasted it over my existing terrain so as to not ruin the map I already had. The result is the following. I have already gone over it a few times and manually filled the gaps from videos once again. I'm sure that when it's done it will be the most accurate replica of the door that anyone has made so far. I have no pictures of a lot of the fixes as they were mostly minor misplaced blocks.

Next up I have added some rooms that I had been procrastinating on for a LOOOONG time. These are of course the barbeque room and the deep storage room with the t-rex skull. Neither of these were particularly easy to build and it was quite the struggle to get through them but now they are here so enjoy some comparison shots between the videos and mine. (also I know there's misplaced blocks between these pictures, I have already fixed those :3)

Last but not least I have been working on a cool new addition to Yoglabs, I won't say what it is but some among you might realize it pretty quickly. It takes up almost the entire area of the main labs and is an area that you might visit while exploring Yoglabs but could also just as well never see. It's a surprise for all of you. I also would like to give you all a few bonus pictures of some rather boring rooms that I added too. These are the Robot Fumblemore room and the spiral structure underneath that small platform all the way at the start of episode 1

Here is the thing, this doggy daycare/boarding service is extremely reputable. Over 4 stars, nearly 5. Most businesses that handle animals have a couple unavoidable mishaps but this place has rave reviews and pet owners generally say they’re happy with the service, the negative reviews are from years ago and are general doggy daycare complaints like “It’s a little stinky inside.” Pretty much scandal free, dog owners who used the service were completely shocked and blindsided and are saying that their dogs were always happy to go and were always in great shape when they picked them up.

Everyone on local social media is scrambling to try to figure out what happened and what kind of animal welfare investigation the cops are conducting and why everything is sooooo hush-hush. The cops not saying a goddamn thing and no one coming forward to say “Hey, the investigation is about the mistreatment of my dog.” has speculation running wild. If it was a cruelty/neglect problem, you would think the police would put out an appeal for information and tell owners who use the service to check their pets for injuries and report back. They haven’t. They haven’t said shit. No updates. They’re treating this investigation like it is top secret and extremely serious but they’re not telling us what they’re investigating. I would think the business was doing serious financial crimes if they had not specified that the animal welfare division was investigating and if that cop hadn’t told an owner not to use the service.

So, what is going on? Is this a nothingburger? Do the cops just have beef with the owner? Was an employee hurting the animals and it somehow never made it online? People (me included) think it may be connected to the extreme heatwave we’ve been having, that maybe a dog was accidentally left outside and died due to hyperthermia (certain dog breeds like bulldogs have a much harder time breathing in the heat and staying cool) or perhaps their A/C broke and they decided to remain open and dogs fell ill because of that BUT no one who used the service has come out to say “Oh yeah, it was hot and miserable when I went to pick up/drop off my dog.” AND the owner said that the dogs still boarding with them were safe and cared for, indicating that their website promise of ‘a climate controlled environment’ has not been compromised.

I am so fucking nosy and desperate to know what could have happened to make the cops act like this is some sort of wide-scale extremely serious conspiracy. Cops are notoriously lax and lazy about animal welfare/animal cruelty investigations so I don’t know how bad things would have to be for them to be this serious and procedural. I really hope it is nothing, no animals were harmed and a disgruntled owner or former employee put in a false tip but I think they would have figured that out by now. Again, this is one of the largest, swankiest and most popular boarding/day care facilities in the area, they’ve won multiple awards, this is not a backward side hobby for the owner. What do you guys think happened?

I’m sure for a lot of people that’s true but for me sex and masturbation occupy a similar emotional space to brushing my teeth or doing the dishes and I certainly don’t feel traumatized about it and I know for a fact that I’m not the only person who feels this way.

Also I think that someone physically and violently forcing me to brush my teeth might end up being traumatizing.

Sex is so taboo and mythologized that people have forgotten the mechanics of it.

Yeah sex might be sacred and important to you. To me it’s a chore I’ve gotta do sometimes. Like cooking. I love cooking and put great importance on it and who I do it with. A lot of people just cook to live though.

imo way too many people are going through life thinking they're just going to be sensitive to rejection for life because of how some people (not OP, but definitely plenty of ADHD influencers) talk about this "symptom." I don't think it's terribly productive that it gets constantly cordoned off as its own thing. like a lot of ADHD, while it sucks to have it shape your life up to the point you realize what it is, it is indeed possible to exposure therapy & DBT your way out of it.
