The first photo had me nodding, and then the full shot nearly killed me laughing. Perfection!

Banksy is a really interesting case of an artist being catastrophically overrated without being a complete hack. Like you start to think "oh God, him again" but then he puts up something Actually Good and it's kind of like getting slapped with a fish, but somehow in a positive way.

i actually think what makes buffy and spike's dynamic so interesting is that they've both already had their Big Love. she loved angel and he loved drusilla and for both of them it was the all-consuming, can't sleep, can't think kind of love with that instant attraction and constant desire to be around each other. so then what happens between them can't be that, bc both of them fully believe they'll never love like that again. and so instead what you see is a love that kind of creeps up on them both at different points???? and by the end that love has transformed into one of comfort and this sort of relief that comes from feeling so understood by one another - not because it was something that just happened but because they had to work for it and realised they wanted to

My husband’s job primarily employs adult men but there is one (1) teenage girl and my husband said originally he worried she might be a bit of an outcast but instead every man on the crew was like “huh guess I am a dad/older brother now.”

She was in a car crash on the way to work one morning and called my husband to let him know she’d be late and he was like wtf guess I’m gonna be late too because I’m coming to pick you up and then he told his team and they were like I think you mean WE are coming.

Imagine you are a teenage girl probably rushing to get to work and you crash your probably new car and feel absolutely miserable and now you’ll be late to work but then suddenly in the distance a car full of all the adult men you work with just pulls up and is like “we came all the way here to pick you up” the mental image right now is fr.

YES. And with support! Teach your teens to make their own doctors appointments by sitting by them in case something comes up they don't know the answer to. Show your elementary schoolers how to cook a meal. Teach them how to read a map and guide you where they want to go. Kids are capable.

Your brain develops when you fucking use it, so let teens use their brains!

I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.

yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.

I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.
