Imagining a world where Stephen Spielberg adapted Dinotopia instead of Jurassic Park, and realizing that it would be truer to both what he wanted (a movie about how fucking cool dinosaurs are) and what the capitalists want it to be (a vehicle to sell a shitload of dinosaur toys to kids).

You could still have scary dinosaur chase scenes, you could still have a dinosaur heroically save the day at the end of each movie, you could have family drama, AND you wouldn't need to think of a reason to get people on dinosaur island because they're already stuck there! There's nowhere for them to go! You wouldn't need to think of a reason for new dinosaurs to be introduced, either, because the creator just drew whichever dinosaurs seemed most fun for a given scene, so it's completely within the logic of the series to just cram as many in there for the hell of it.

THEY SURE DID! Technically it wasn't Discord itself but the third party they used for ID verification which is like. Also very bad.

I have no way to confirm whether or not this is the reason why but I'm assuming the entire reason that Discord passed off, and will pass off, this ID handling to a third-party company is so that when the next security leak happens (which it will), they can blame the third party company and claim innocence.

You guys really need to learn about the history of The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense and how white supremacists treated it like a terrorist organization for promoting [checks notes] anti-imperialism, women's rights, and stopping police brutality within Black communities.

I don't mean this in a dismissive "haha you've got daddy issues" way but I really am coming to suspect that most if not all people who view the opposite sex as like, fundamentally alien on a mental or emotional level really just do not have healthy family relationships. You see it with the weird Trad and Alpha Male guys who can't seem to conceive of women as fully-aware human beings instead of some sort of symbiotes who need men to guide them, you see it with the weird radfems who like to go on about men being incable of feeling real emotion and just being driven by instinct and needing to be ruled over like dogs. I just find it really difficult to imagine arriving at those worldviews if you ever had a mutually caring and respectful relationship with an opposite-sex parent or sibling.
