Thinking about writing my own EPIC fanfic but don't write well. Any tips?

For me specifically it helps to plan out the fic / oneshot before I start writing the actual thing. Planning really does come in handy, that way you have an end goal in mind. Doesn’t work for everyone since some people prefer to fly by the seat of their pants. For me, if I do that, then I lose steam for the fic rather quickly. It also helps to write a little, pause to read a fic or author that you like, and use their prose as inspiration!
