These Shrimp and Pork Wontons in Spicy Sauce are a delicious combination of tender shrimp and savory pork, wrapped in delicate wonton wrappers, and served with a flavorful and spicy sauce. Perfect as an appetizer or a light meal.
Ingredients: 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1/2 pound ground pork. 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, minced. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 package wonton wrappers. For the Spicy Sauce:. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons rice vinegar. 2 tablespoons chili oil. 1 teaspoon sugar. 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds. 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped.
Instructions: Put the green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper in a food processor. Add the shrimp and grind it up. Pulse until everything is well mixed and well chopped. Spread out a wonton wrapper and put some of the shrimp and pork mixture in the middle of it. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half diagonally to make a triangle. Make sure there are no air pockets as you press the edges together to seal. Do it again with the rest of the filling and wrappers. Boil water in a large pot and add the wontons. Cook for three to four minutes, or until the wontons float to the top. Fork-out the food and set it aside. Stir the chili oil, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds together in a small bowl. This will make the spicy sauce. Add chopped green onions on top of the cooked wontons and drizzle them with the spicy sauce. Have fun with your spicy shrimp and pork wontons!
