This chilled tofu and broccoli dish combines the refreshing coolness of chilled tofu with the savory and spicy flavors of oyster sauce. It's a perfect appetizer or side dish for a hot summer day.
Ingredients: 1 block tofu, chilled and cubed. 2 cups broccoli florets, blanched. 2 tablespoons oyster sauce. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1 teaspoon chili paste. 1 teaspoon minced garlic. 1 teaspoon minced ginger. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish.
Instructions: To make the sauce, combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili paste, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Incorporate the cubed tofu and allow it to gently brown on all sides. Stir-fry the blanched broccoli florets in the pan for two to three minutes. After preparing the sauce, pour it over the tofu and broccoli, gently stirring to ensure even coating. Take off the heat and give it a few minutes to cool. After transferring the tofu and broccoli to a serving platter, chill them in the refrigerator for at least half an hour. Add some chopped green onions and sesame seeds as a garnish before serving.
