Seems that this blog got reactivated without me noticing, but I’ll keep posting on my new blog @famprined for the time being. So if you’re missing the famprin experience on your dash, go follow that blog.
Winston Smith being murdered by federal agents under the pretense of the victimless crime of being a felon in possession of a firearm is another example that gun control is just as violent and subjugating as the prohibition of drugs or alcohol. Possessing contraband should never cost somebody their life, be it through physical or structural violence and every person is entitled to the ability to defend themselves. Felons, as a class, shouldn't be deprived of weapons and forced into depending on a state that has already shown so little care for their wellbeing.
the only way mutual aid is an ‘abstract point’ is if you do not consider yourself a subject but an object, no wonder maoists fumble with it.
for clarification, mutual aid is completely opposed to ‘for the people’/masses’, as if we aren't part of ‘the masses’; as if we are giving something to others, and not partaking with others; as if we have anything to give to “them” that we cannot get ourselves.
Communism is subjectivity, radical subjectivity, and flows to and from subjectivity.
Everything else is inert.
It's mutual aid because you're benefiting from it too.
If you ain't, then it's charity.
Charity can do a lot of good and whatnot, it really can, but don't delude yourself into thinking it's mutual aid.
Life in the wild is a brutal, bloody circle: wildebeest must run within minutes of being born to try to escape predators waiting to transform their births into deaths; weak or injured prey animals will often be eaten by carnivores, sometimes while they are still alive. These events are horrible to watch, and seem terribly cruel, but they are part of the lifeblood of nature. It is through these events that you see the true resilience and power of wild animals. We have also seen many animals survive horrific injuries thanks to their innate strength, sometimes aided by pride or pack mates, and those unbelievably resilient animals have gone on to breed, continuing the natural selection that has led to everything we find inspiring about them.
However, more and more over the course of our careers, we have seen a push to intervene and manage wild animals and wild places. This is likely another result of the global fascination with big cats, as people across the world – often from the comfort of their homes thousands of miles away – are becoming increasingly vocal in how these species and areas should be managed, often without any real understanding of the complexities involved.
We see the impacts of this daily. If wild animals are injured or suffering through natural causes – even in supposedly wild areas such as national parks – there is an increasing tendency to rush in and treat them, presumably to avoid upsetting tourists or risk condemnation on social media.
Young or injured animals may be ’rescued’ by people, in acts of kindness that can condemn them to an (often-miserable) life in captivity. This impacts not only those individual animals, but has consequences for the wider ecosystem and natural selection.

“I confront [white guilt] every year, about a month into my course on racism, among [white] students who come to me in tears because they cannot deal with the racism that goes on in their families or their home towns or their student residences. Their tears are the result of genuine anguish, care, and a desire to learn and to change. I confront similar attitudes among my colleagues, and I am similarly gratified by their concern. But those who experience white guilt need to learn three things: 1) People of colour are generally not moved by their tears, and may even see those tears as a self-indulgent expression of white privilege. It is after all a great privilege to be able to express one’s emotion openly and to be confident that one is in a cultural context where one’s feelings will be understood. 2) Guilt is paralysing. It serves no purposes; it does no good. It is not a substitute for activism. 3) White guilt is often patronizing if it leads to pity for those of colour. Pity gets in the way of sincere and meaningful human relationships, and it forestalls the frankness that meaningful relationships demand. White guilt will not change the racialized environment; it will only make the guilty feel better.”
— “Women of Colour in Canadian Academia,” Audrey Kobayashi (via lamaracuya) (via hagereseb)
“He who subjects his life to an exterior model can not have other loves than those who lend him the chosen model, to whom he raises an altar in his heart as a deity. Although he preaches love, he will not be loving; although he speaks of freedom, he will only conceive freedom conditioned by that or that which dominates him, and that freedom has all the character of slavery: religion that tied his life to an outside creed, which subjugates him.”
— Miguel Giménez Igualada
Whenever a gun control subject is trending on twitter it's just a sea of brainlet blue checkmarks giving fuckawful takes to dunk on conservatives even if they ostensibly agree on the subject of gun control. I'm brave enough to say this is, in fact, "correct" and "based."
I also really hate the way people try to argue against this line of logic, one that basically states "the united states is not immune to guerrilla warfare" because both liberals and leftists love coming out to argue against it for poorly understood reasons. Usually people either say "they won because of the national unity they had" or "they won because of the AA systems the North had" and those are cop-outs in both cases. You cannot fight any sort of war without small arms. You cannot secure an AA system without small arms. You can have the bravest, most unified fighters in the world and they cannot win a guerrilla war against an advanced military without small arms. Assault rifles have been the most basic element of full-scale conflict for 70 years, they are as essential as water.
ok but this is seriously not leaving my head like i became butch bc i saw butch women online and read stone butch blues and they taught me that i could be masculine and whole and then i lived as butch and gnc in my hometown and online and ive had people irl and online say that helped them learn to be gnc or butch and then i saw bi butches online and realized i could like men without forfeiting masculinity and then i started to feel myself out in this online space as bi and butch and people are telling me that helped them realize they could be gnc and bi and basically what im saying is there's this whole long chain of inspiration and warmth and community that comes with being gnc bc like who taught leslie feinberg that zie could be butch? and who taught that butch that they could be butch? and how many people learned from them by proxy? and how many people learned from you by proxy? and how many people will learn from those people, the ones who learned from you? we may not be fully aware of it but we're all always holding each other's hands. leaving little imprints on each other's palms. reminding each other of what we are and can be

i think the funniest and realist thing i’ve realized lately is how troubling idealization can be. every person is just… a person. the very people you want to impress or be apart of are just people. even if they seem wildly intimidating because of the way they look or because of their reputation, every one is just a person. human. as embarrassing, as remorseful and they are going through stages of growth just like you are. we only see what we want to see and then drown ourselves further in our own depression and we don’t have to.
truly and i am learning the less i idealise others, the more willing i am to meet people where they are warts n all. and the more willing i am to show myself too and bring my whole self into things. my own embarrassment becomes a new normal and fine thing. stumbling becomes more endearing.
had a teacher once who told us “idealizing people is just as dehumanizing as demonizing them” and that stuck with me so much
This is not related to my blog, but it's personally important. Please read it.
It breaks my heart to know that I'm so unwelcome in my own country. So far I've wanted to leave for an opportunity at a better life, because it's becoming impossible to be well off financially here. But now I want to leave out of fear for my safety. This enables homophobic and transphobic attacks.
I'm out publicly, people know of my identity. I live in a small town inna bigoted country, it was dangerous enough already to come out like this. But now? Now that the aggressive people see that the government is with them? Now I'm truly terrified. I can only hope I will be lucky enough not to be targeted, but I know many, many others will become victims. This is not okay.
It just adds insult to injury that they do this during pride month of all times.
I've already started saving up to move away from here, so if you wish to donate and help me get the money faster, my paypal is linked here.
Thank you all for reading this.

Im fucking dying. REAL ESTATE. SELLING PLANETS AND WORRYING ABOUT RETAIL VALUE. HIRING REAL ESTATE WORKERS TO DO HIS BIDDING N UNDERPAYS THEM. this…. This realization is gutting me
its free real estate
Ah come on, “it’s Freeza Real Estate” was right there!
Okay but
That was RIGHT in the middle of the real estate bubble collapse that completely destroyed Japan’s economy for a full decade. That’s like putting out a story in 2008 where the bad guy is a Space Subprime Mortgage Trader.
this one liberal dude on twitter made the (correct) take that parents have overwhelming power over their kids and very often abuse it and restrict children's rights and he was ratio'd by conservatives, communists and liberals alike who made comments like "my kids will have rights when they pay the bills" to "aw are you upset mom and dad didn't you get you a lega set for christmas". way to prove his point lol! any criticism of the power dynamics adults and particularly parents have over kids and how it is often used to abuse kids or refuse to let them exist as themselves is drowned in mockery and the idea that parents have absolute authority over children and that any less than that is actually spoiling them.
i said it before: people only care about Children as an ideal. as property. as something that is Innocent and deserving protection From Evil Traffickers but also something Dumb that barely deserves the status of human with autonomy. and its fucking wild how even the staunchest communists think of this as normal, and how people refuse to understand that this dynamic is how kids are emotionally, physically and sexually abused, as well as robbed of their voices and too scared/ashamed to talk about it.
it's worth saying this dude is the parent of a now adult trans girl, and his reflections absolutely come from parenting as well as how he was expected to behave as the father of a trans daughter, how much power he had over her treatment and the refusal of doctors and teachers to listen to her and going over her head to him so they could misgender her and make him consent to conversion therapy.
he did not do these things, but the expectation and judgement that he as a parent was supposed to take away her rights and the sheer power he had over her as a minor made him reflect a lot. and now people are mocking him for sharing this reflection, even as black kids are killed or sent into the school to prison pipeline, as disabled kids are refused humanity, as parents kill their kids to spite their divorced spouses, as trans kids get their healthcare revoked, as migrant kids remain locked in cages. even as these same people panic over child trafficking and pedophile sex rings and refuse to admit how much csa and abuse is from family members.

man, the CRT discourse is so fucked, cause this isnt even a new issue, american governments have been pushing to ban poc history being taught in the classrooms for DECADES now, like this isnt even new, theyve been pushing for whiter curricula for such a long time
you guys should look up the history of the Mexican American Studies Department programs at Tucson Unified School Districts, cause their entire department got banned back in 2012, and it wasnt until 2017 that TUSD was found guilty of violating 1st and 14th amendment rights
and guess what? the arguments made originally to ban MAS are the exact same arguments being used today to call for a ban on CRT! the very same arguments that were found by the federal court to be racially discriminatory 4 years ago!
