"As a treat" implies a special occasion, a temporary state. "For morale" makes the joy essential, because you have to have good morale to keep going.

had a dream last night that sappho 16 became a meme. everyone on the internet was posting images that contained the text "some say cavalry, some say infantry, some say ships are the most beautiful thing, but I say it's" and then just like, the worst stock photo image the poster could find of whatever they loved (the ocean, a loaf of bread, etc.)

I didn't think that you'd have to calmly explain to other trans people that regular misogyny still exists and is a serious problem

1000000% yes to this addition. i wore pants all the time before i transitioned, i dressed “masc” i even occasionally wore an item or two of clothing from the men’s department. but there was a complete and utter 180 in the way ppl treated me when i went from “masc” clothes to men’s clothes. i was not a cute tomboy anymore. i was a dyke, tranny, woman stepping out of my place, and a lot of ppl tried to punish me for it.

in recent events of that zoo losing the clouded leopard, it reminded me of the time i went to a large petting zoo and there was a free roaming little black sheep. cutest little guy i ever saw, soi went to the zookeeper nearby and said ‘i think its really cute how you have a sheep thats allowed to just walk around. ‘ then the zookeepers eyes widened and he grabbed his walky talky and ran 

Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like....I don't even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like... He's just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.

Nazis are taking over my government, and like, not even just the Nazis we fucking elected! And I'm...making hamburgers? Because somebody has to make dinner? I just feel completely unhinged.

I think that's how random civillians generally feel in these situations. Someone's gotta make dinner.
