A few months back, I started accepting deliveries for my neighbor when they weren’t around. Honestly, it wasn’t a major hassle. Since I work from home, it felt like a small favor no big deal at all.

But lately? Ugh, they've stopped even asking. Delivery drivers just show up at my place with their packages, and some of those boxes hang around in my hallway for days. Super annoying.

Last week, one giant box turned my entryway into a maze. So, I texted my neighbor, asking if they could swing by that evening to pick it up. Their response? You’ll survive another day. Talk about a lack of gratitude. I was pretty irritated. So, when another delivery person came knocking, I politely said no. Then my neighbor showed up at my door, accusing me of being petty and insisting, good neighbors help each other.

Now it’s awkward. They’ve been icy as we pass by, and another neighbor even suggested I should’ve just let it slide to keep the peace.

Am I really overreacting for deciding to stop accepting their packages?

A lich is a really self-defeating sort of creature. They make themselves not-die, but they also kinda not-live either. That sounds mid, like literally I think.
