Queue: The vast majority of my reblogs are queued. The queue is virtually always full and runs 24/7.
Content: It’s a bit of a junk drawer, really. Here you’ll find posts from my current main fandoms, writing, fanfic, various LGBTQ+/queer things, anything I find funny or cute, and a variety of other assorted fandoms and topics. My main fandoms are currently Leverage, far too many audio dramas, DC’s Batfamily, The Locked Tomb books, The Murderbot Diaries books, Discworld, Hades from Supergiant Games, Fullmetal Alchemist (primarily Brotherhood), and the Spiderverse films. I avoid posting about current events, though they may show up occasionally. It’s not that I don’t care--it’s that I care too much, and I try to protect my mental health. Fandom is my escape.
I typically write metas, reaction posts, and fanfic. Those are usually posted as soon as they’re written. Outside of that, much of my content is queued reblogs. I do not tag queued posts. My queue normally runs somewhere between ten and twenty posts a day, although it may run higher or lower at times.

I am very burned out as of the moment and have little energy for interacting with folks, so my replies may be slow and rare. I love talking to mutuals and online friends; it's just not something I can always handle right now. My apologies, and thanks for your patience.

Y'all, this was debunked eight years ago by Snopes. The KKK does not have a tax exemption. That said, yes, there ARE hate groups who do have them, so it's not like this isn't a problem. unless you want to teach small kids about a laundry list of sex acts, they're not going to even recognise many acts of CSA as sexual in nature. instead, we need to have children who are raised with an expectation of bodily autonomy and who feel comfortable complaining when they're made or asked to do things they don't feel comfortable with. we need children to have the expectation that those complaints will be taken seriously and that they'll receive backup to make sure situations like that don't continue. if their desires for bodily autonomy are consistently ignored, how can we expect them to speak out when something confusing and uncomfortable happens with their parent, cousin, or babysitter? we've already taught them that what they feel comfortable with doesn't matter
This phrase has already entered my vocabulary re: media criticism where like. The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.
"This show is problematic because the hero didn't kill the villain at the end": When does he steal the bread?
"These two characters who were close friends throughout the series don't kiss at the end! What the fuck?": When does he steal the bread?
"This feels like it's missing a conclusion! Like, the protagonist does bad stuff and because of a critical decision he makes as a result of his major character flaws, meets tragedy in the end! Where's the part where he learns better and brings is love back from the dead and becomes a good guy and gets a happy ending?": When does he steal the fucking bread??

one of my favorite bits in lord of the rings is something the movies didn't really try to do because it's entirely internal, but sam's carrying the ring and it starts trying to do its work on him, so he's having these intrusive visions of himself marching at the head of a vast and terrible army, and he just starts laughing because, me? samwise gamgee? sam gamgee the general sam gamgee the dark lord are you for real? man i just want to go home and do some gardening. and the ring gets frustrated and it starts trying to figure out other stuff that would actually tempt sam and it's finally like, okay, but hear me out: imagine if you could have...A REALLY REALLY BIG GARDEN
"crochet can't be made by machines" went from being a cool fun fact to being a call to action of "so if you see mass manufactured crochet in Target, that was made by a person and they were underpaid and you should boycott it" which is true, it was made by a person, but EVERY item of clothing you own (that you did not purchase from a company using ethical labor) was made by a person being underpaid (at *best*.)
Sewing machines are operated by *people*. Knitting machines are operated by *people*. Yes lots of the process is automated but you cannot tell a machine "make me a t-shirt" or "make me a knit cardigan".
Higher awareness of fast fashion, and the true human labor and abuse behind it, is GREAT, but let's not pretend that the crochet hat in target is THE problem. Every article of clothing in target is the problem. "All clothes are made by people" is the jumping off point here into understanding this issue it's not just crochet it's the whole thing ahhhhHHHHHHHHHH
