I need to confess something. Every time I see a post about how gross it is when men don’t wash their hands after they piss, I KNOW deep in my heart that the OP is talking about me, just from an alternate universe where I’m a cisgender man. If I could easily urinate standing up without taking my pants all the way down or having to use toilet paper, then I would last maybe a week, tops, before I would start occasionally saying things like “well, penis skin is just skin, and I showered this morning!” to myself. Or, “Well, it’s not like healthy urine is full of bacteria, and it’s not like I got any on my hands!” Or, “Well, I can just use some hand sanitizer!” C’mon, you guys must know how easy it is to justify small transgressions to yourself…I simply refuse to believe that everyone on this website is so obsessively pro-social that you all return your grocery carts to the corral 100% of the time and also maintain a perfect handwashing record in the imaginary genderswap universe…

I hang out on chinchilla subreddits, and owning chinchillas is a lot like converting to Orthodox Judaism, in that in order to start you have to demonstrate your sincerity and conviction before an authority figure who will emphasize how difficult this path can be and actively discourage you from taking it. Someone will post “I want a chinchilla, should I get a chinchilla?” and a guy with the username chinchilla_lover4life will just respond “no” and get thirty upvotes.
