here's the thing: I really really want to get into metal. I love the instrumentals. but. I really really really do not like the growly vocal fry singing. Which is of course a staple of metal. I know not every metal genre has that vocal style so I'm listening around and man. soooo many songs have intros that make me go yeah!!! yeah!!!!!!!! and then the vocals start and I'm like :( and I even TRY to enjoy it like I really sincerely am trying but I just cannot get into it. is there a name for a metal genre that specifically doesn't have that bc I like EVERYTHING else about the songs
