agott would actually like to deal with these coco feelings in less than 2 decades, preferably

Nothing turns me off from your Funny Post more than you complaining about harmless fandom tags.
"what if bird were always a little wet to the touch wouldn't that be fucked up"
Btw if one more person tags this as Bleebus I'm murdering you why are people so annoying oh my god"
Like do you understand how stupid you sound? Do you? Get bigger problems than policing autistic people on joke posts. Learn to roll your eyes and move on. You aren't being harmed by being annoyed.
To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.

it’s genuinely fucking absurd that cis people have any goddamn say at all on trans healthcare
“oh yeah i mean im not diabetic but i dont really know how insulin works and i think its kinda freaky that you gotta poke your finger all the time so im gonna go ahead and say insulin is illegal”
thats how it sounds.
Hi everyone! This is an illustrated guide I made as part of my co-admining work at The Middle Eastern Feminist on Facebook! It will be published there shortly. The technique that is displayed here is a genuine one used in psychology - I forgot the name and couldn’t find it again so if you know about it, feel free to tell me! Some could say: “Yes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!”, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other “types” of harassment of a lone person in a public space!! However I’m focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Eastern woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes - that way one cannot say they “didn’t know what to do”! I’d like to insist on two things: 1) Do not, in any way, interact with the attacker. You must absolutely ignore them and focus entirely on the person being attacked! 2) Please make sure to always respect the wishes of the person you’re helping: whether they want you to leave quickly afterwards, or not! If you’re in a hurry escort them to a place where someone else can take over - call one of their friends, or one of yours, of if they want to, the police. It all depends on how they feel! For my fellow French-speakers: I will translate it in French and post it on my page as soon as I can :) Please don’t hesitate to share this guide as it could push a lot of people to overcome bystander syndrome!! Lots of love and stay safe! PS: I you repost this cartoon of mine on twitter or instagram, please add me in the post so I can see it, with @itsmaeril :)
An important reminder today, and every day.
This is based off of the Non-Complementary technique in psychology - also known as ‘flipping the script’.
It is a legitimate tactic for defusing a situation that could otherwise escalate to become quite nasty.
People instinctively reciprocate anger with anger and kindness with kindness, but what happens when someone breaks this ‘complementary be
We owe it all to them.
To repeat the message louder: musicians, journalists, radio stations, listeners, record companies, streaming sites, discos; anyone remotely involved with popular music, you probably owe a big chunk of it to black musicians.
SPOILERS FOR THE NEW EPISODE
The fact that we see Tartah's POV multiple times throughout the episode, and his silver wash is displayed to the viewer. And then briefly when Qifrey comes to check on them and we see his perspective?? And it's blurred and filled with glare from the rising sun?????
This anime adaptation is so good it kills me
I have a weird feeling about how anime-only people saw or still sees Qifrey's relationship with the girls. When the show started, the audience feared that Qifrey would be predatory toward his disciples and that their relationship would be sexualised. Ive seen a lot of manga-readers reassure them like "don't worry it's not a trap the relationship between Qifrey and the girls is truly wholesome there's no weird stuff behind it" (which is absolutely true). Some wha-fans tend to call out those people who had this fear, calling them fucking weirdos, but I think on the contrary that this is a pretty genuine feeling. And also it depicts a horrifying reality : we've been used to medias sexualizing little girls. We've been used to animes depicting super weird relationships between children and adults as quirky, cute or absolutely normal (I love Fruit Basket but damn the ambiguity of characters like Shigure... ya know what i mean). So far when we see an adult showing kindness to a child or even giving a platonic hug, we immediatly wait for the worst, because we have already seen it a lot. It makes me so sad. So anyways... Lady Shirahama, thank you so much for... you know... not being a weirdo toward child-characters

The most embarrassing thing about Easthies is that he's consistently losing fights to 12 year olds and it's worse because he starts every fight. Like sir are you not ashamed you're a grown ass adult who is picking fights with children and LOSING. Fucking pathetic.
This is true of the manga, but I love how the anime accentuates the absolute physical trust the apprentices have with Qifrey. Specifically with Agott, the way she is so ready when Qifrey says “hang on tight, I need my hands free” to cling to him a mile into the sky, and then in the latest episode, how, as soon as she impacts Qifrey while flying to him, she makes no move to save herself, she just curls into him and trusts that he will keep them from falling.
And I think it works as a signal to the audience, to subtly go “hey, I know we don’t trust Qifrey right now, he’s being shady, but we can always trust him to protect the physical wellbeing of his kids. Remember that.” Idk man maybe I’m getting too attached to a teeny detail but aaaaaaghhhh that’s her dad.

#anyways i think it's particularly notable that fiercely independent always-has-something-to-prove Agott is like this with him#and that none of the apprentices really hide how they're feeling around him even when that feeling is negative#Agott and Richeh make it known when they're unhappy with Qifrey#and they (two abused kids) just flat out wouldn't do this if he wasn't a safe person to be unhappy at
apprentice uniform for brushbuddy too so they dont feel left out
one of the most devastating aspects of orufrey’s relationship to me is the fact that, by qifrey’s own account, olruggio has rediscovered his secret too often to keep track of— and he still chooses to forgive qifrey in each and every instance he learns, again, about the silverwood disease. we can easily assume his finding out manifests differently every time— maybe it comes as a confession, maybe it’s like a twisted problem that olruggio conspires to work out for himself, maybe it’s something blurted in the thick of an argument; maybe it comes with uneasy acceptance, maybe it’s more of a struggle to make olruggio understand— but no matter the symptom, his cause is always the same without fail. olruggio has never once hesitated to sacrifice everything he is for qifrey’s sake; he has never once considered being spiteful, keeping his own memory intact and letting qifrey shoulder his burden alone. in all their time enduring that same, indefinite cycle— ouroboros the whole way down— the thought to act selfishly has never, not even once, crossed olruggio’s mind

i love olruggio witchhat so much. he’s a sun-coded black cat. he’s a lethally chronic procrastinator. he’s a girl dad. he lies to the police. his magic is warm. his kids bully him and they’re right. he’s in a decade-long magically induced situationship, but he doesn’t know it’s cursed and he’s in it for love of the game. he’s lowkey a celebrity but chooses to live in a cottage on the countryside with said situationship and their four children. he sleeps on the couch. he was a crazy child. he’s a bit of a picky eater. he has chronic anemia and is two minutes away from passing out at all times. he hates hurting things so much that he struggles to kill a disgusting giant leech. he’s a burnt out gifted kid. he is begrudgingly excellent at one of his jobs and on-purposely atrocious at the other one. he has a baby face and is nearly unrecognizable without his beard. he carries an enormous, inexplicable guilt. he’s the sky’s kindest, most radiant star. he’s the perfect man
Olruggio's on the verge of passing out from exhaustion but when Agott shyly ask him if he can review her spell he's like "Yes Gimme!". He may be dying from overwork but there's always time to help the daughter™
