The Grave Horse is among the largest of the extant Bone Horses, named so by the native Takren peoples of the region due to its monochrome almost deathly appearance. They’re an elusive sight out on the moors and among the pillars of the Pillar Graveyard being nocturnal feeding and vocalizing to each other in surprisingly high pitched ghostly wails and whinnying. Grave Horses live in small family groups led by a lead stallion and his small harem of 2 to 6 females along with their young and other related males usually the stallions sons. To the Takren who live in the frigid moors and bogs, the Grave Horse is a sign of ill omen and death (another reasons why the name ‘Grave Horse’) and hunting and eat one is seen as strictly taboo.

One of the most abundant large herbivores of the Pillar Graveyard, the Crowned Lantern Horse is the largest member of the Lantern Horses, a linage of Bone Horse that have evolved a symbiotic relationship with a bioluminescent bacteria that live in a gelatinous bulb on top of their heads. The lights are used to communicate with other horses and distract predators by disorienting or blinding them with their biological headlights. The lights of the Crowned Lantern Horse shines a brilliant yellow and Takren of the Pillar Graveyard hunt these horses for their meat, the skulls (which make wonderful masks) and for the bacteria which can be made into a source of light with just a shake. The bacteria can be poured into membranes creating lanterns or be crafted into glowsticks for smaller light sources and are especially popular among Takren children.

This is the Six-eyed Stinker (Sputtonasus sexophtalmus), a member of the Odorophtalmines, or "Stinkeyes", a group of small to medium sized, generally solitary trunked herbivores descendants of dik-diks that have evolved very specialised preorbital glands, able to not only secrete but spray its secretions forwards. This is often used to repel potential predators, as these secretions are often foul smelling, and predators are overwhelmed by these smells and driven away, allowing the animal to escape.

In the case of the stinkers like S. sexophtalmus however, their secretions not only contain this highly odorous compounds, but they can borrow compounds from the various poisonous plants they like to consume to create a particularly effective cocktail, with the secretion being a highly concentrated mix of these compounds, being able to cause severe skin burns and rashes, necrosis or even the death of the organism depending on the type of compound used and where it lands.
