Hello, I saw your requests where open so I thought I would drop a suggestion. How would the Aduece duo handle a Yuu who came from a universe where Disney is a thing. trying and occasionally failing to keep their metaphysical knowledge secret?
I love this prompt so much 😭 Thank you for your submission Anony! This might not be exactly what you were looking for, but I thought this was so funny 😭 Ace is a blabber mouth.
Yuu had learned one very important rule after arriving in Twisted Wonderland.
Unfortunately, that was much easier said than done.
"What's got you making that face?"
Ace plopped into the seat beside Yuu in the cafeteria, already stealing one of Grim's fries.
Deuce sat across from them with his lunch.
Yuu stared blankly at their tray.
"...If I tell you something... you have to promise not to think I'm insane."
"And you can't tell a soul.."
"Yeah, Yeah! We won't, hurry up Yuu!"
"...Where I come from..."
"No, like... stories about this world."
Yuu rubbed their temples.
"I know this sounds ridiculous."
"They're historical figures," Deuce said.
"...In my world they're... fairy tale villains."
"...So you're telling me..."
Ace leaned across the table.
"...that somewhere out there..."
"...there's a story about Riddle?"
"...You don't have your own movie."
Ace couldn't keep his mouth shut.
Ace announced dramatically in Heartslabyul's lounge.
"Apparently Riddle's famous."
Riddle looked up from his paperwork.
"They say there's a story about someone just like you."
Yuu immediately buried their face in their hands.
"She's incredibly strict."
"...She makes bizarre rules."
"...She screams 'Off with their heads!'"
Riddle's expression froze.
Ace slowly turned toward him.
"...You literally sentenced me yesterday."
"You broke Rule Two Hundred Eighty Nine!"
"You made Rule Two Hundred Eighty Nine five minutes before!"
Riddle looked back at Yuu.
"...How does this queen's story end?"
"...She's essentially loses. But it turns out she's entirely just a part of the main character's dream."
"I refuse to believe that."
Mostly because Ace spread it.
Ace called into the botanical gardens.
"Yuu says you're based on a lion."
Leona didn't even open his eyes.
Leona finally cracked one eye open.
"...His brother becomes king."
Yuu visibly considered digging a hole and living in it.
"You just described my family."
Ruggie looked between them.
"...He thinks the throne belongs to him."
"...Manipulates everyone around him."
"...Gets beaten by hyenas."
Yuu immediately slapped a hand over their mouth.
Ruggie slowly looked at Leona.
"...Should I be offended?"
"...Yes, Hyenas. Plural."
He slowly pointed at himself.
"...I beat my Housewarden?"
"Well.. yeah, though I wouldn't recommend you try it. There were multiple hyenas in the story, and you're just.. one."
Leona barked out a laugh.
"They say you've heard stories about people resembling us."
"...Straling the merprincess's voice.."
Floyd burst out laughing.
Azul adjusted his glasses.
"...I fail to see the resemblance."
Yuu looked directly at the eels.
"...The sea witch has two moray eels."
Floyd and Jade simultaneously looked at each other.
Azul buried his face in his hands.
Kalim practically bounced into the room.
"I heard there's one about us!"
Jamil immediately sighed.
"...Why are you apologizing to me specifically?"
"...There's a royal sultan."
"...He's incredibly nice."
"...There's his advisor."
Jamil's smile disappeared.
"...Manipulates the sultan."
Jamil covered Kalim's mouth.
"...Please don't finish that sentence."
Because Malleus was genuinely interested.
"What story resembles me?"
"...Why does that sound familiar?"
Yuu looked between all four of them.
Malleus nodded thoughtfully.
Sebek and Silver exchanged confused looks.
"...A princess who sleeps."
Silver immediately yawned.
"...That's unfortunate timing."
Silver fell asleep sitting upright.
Even Idia eventually cornered Yuu.
Idia immediately looked offended.
Vil crossed one leg over the other, looking entirely too composed.
"I've heard there are stories involving us as well."
Vil gave him a sidelong glance.
"...She's obsessed with being the fairest in the land."
"...She has a magic mirror."
"...She poisons a girl with an apple for being more beautiful than her."
"That's what you're worried about?"
"...You're based off of the girl."
"I don't think I'd look very good as a princess."
Yuu looked anywhere but at him.
"...I suppose I should be grateful."
"The queen is elegant. Intelligent. Regal."
He smiled, perfectly poised.
"...Though attempting murder over a beauty contest is admittedly... gauche."
Neige scratched the back of his head.
"So... do we end up becoming friends?"
Seeing his expression, Vil pinched the bridge of his nose.
"...It's a fairy tale, Neige. They rarely have nuanced endings."
Neige brightened again almost instantly.
"Oh! Then we'll just make this one better."
Vil stared at him for a moment before letting out a quiet, amused huff.
"...Perhaps we already have."
By the end of the week...
Not that they were fictional.
Yuu had been careful to avoid saying that again.
They simply admitted there were "stories from another world."
One evening, Ace found Yuu sitting on Ramshackle's porch.
"...Who's your favorite?"
"Because I grew up with stories."
"The stories made everyone seem... simpler."
"And Riddle organizes tea time when someone looks down."
"And Leona quietly looks after his dorm."
"And Azul genuinely cares about his lounge."
"And Jamil smiles when Kalim isn't looking."
"And Malleus just... wants friends."
"And Vil cares about the well being of his dorm members, even though it's a bit.. overbearing at times."
"The stories weren't wrong."
"They just weren't complete."
Just then, Grim jumped onto the porch railing.
"I have absolutely no idea."
Grim puffed out his chest proudly.
"Heh! Guess I'm too original!"
From somewhere nearby, Crowley muttered under his breath, "Or perhaps far too troublesome to fit into any story."
Yuu couldn't help but smile.
Maybe that was the biggest difference between fairy tales and reality.
Stories ended with "happily ever after."
Life kept going, and the people in it became far more than the roles they were inspired by.
