‘roofs’ looks unbelievably stupid typed out. why can we not say ‘rooves.’ clown language with clown plurals

If the plural of roof were rooves, the singular of grooves would have to be groof. Is that what you want?

when I was younger I spent too much time on rp chat sites, and one time I was John F. Kennedy and this stranger asked me what it felt like to get my head blown off or something. Like genuinly. And, idk I’m 14 years old. Anyways, I gave them a very non-problematic, artistic, answer, something like “I felt a breeze of fresh air and remembered my childhood” etc etc. And the stranger replied “that’s beautiful” and I replied “actually it was head hurtyyy head owwiee” and they replied by saying that I should be ashamed of myself for desecrating his memory or whatever. First of all, I have no excuse but it’s funny, and second of all, who asks that? What was it like to die? Nobody knows

in retrospect it's remarkable how many people were arguing whether it was underhanded of taylor swift to express discomfort with kanye west writing sexually explicit lyrics about her if he asked her consent beforehand and comparatively few people asking if it was fucked up for kanye west to be writing those lyrics in the first place let alone calling her and ask her to sign off on it. did no one think to ask if it was fucked up for a man to call a woman he had previously humiliated and say, hey could i rap about how i made you famous and you would probably let me fuck you as compensation? people were so quick to accept this phone call as an example of kanye being the stand up guy and, if memory serves, few if any people asking if calling a woman with your wife to ask if he could make sexually explicit comments about her was not coercive at least and probably harassment in itself

how long are radio stations gonna say “80s, 90s, and today!” We’ve entered the third decade of “today”

I work at an oldies station. Every six months we sit down look around the table and someone goes "Y'know, we could start adding '90s to the mix. It's within our format." We all nod and no one plays anything produced after 1989 because time stopped here sometime around 2003, and no one wants to be the one responsible for whatever consequences come from breaking that fragile illusion.
