this feels kinda silly to say but like. if you, in telling ur personal wol canon, alter the story such that an npc's actions are more cruel or callous or make less sense thats. thats not actually "on" the npc. like for example if your wol has a particular trigger and the npc does something that hits it its not exactly the npcs "fault" bc they didnt have any chance of avoiding it. i know it sounds silly to say but it feels like a lot of people's reads on npcs in this game are colored by seeing the game through your wols eyes and then never reevaluating. Like of course if you go "well my wol keeps telling them not to do the stupid thing" or whatever then they "look" dumber or like they just won't listen to your wol but. that didn't actually happen. and like it is fine to change things but u gotta keep this perspective in mind
