This tag game was created in hopes of reaching at least a few people and creating more awareness for the creator-side of tumblr. Time to Shine Thursday is inspired by these posts and meant to be for all artists alike: writers, editors, poets, GIF makers, cartoonist etc. This is me giving you all an excuse to show off!

Only rule: Be as thirsty for attention as you want to be! Link one of your old fics/art pieces or one that didn’t didn’t get enough attention, link a work you loved to create or share a draft from your newest WIP. Or do all of these. Be greedy. Show your art. Crave attention. Be proud. And don’t forget to give your friends an excuse to show off theirs!

Additional note: Please consider dropping one of your favorite hidden gems by an other author along with your own work so others can enjoy it as well and so that it doesn’t stay buried any longer!

- this series of Padmé’s outfits that regularly makes me lose my mind over the details by @angela132132, - this sketch of Obi-Wan by @jinxartsy that makes me smile whenever I look at it, - this painting of Padmé by @mellow-f1 that still has me yelling over the headdress, - and this Jawa scene by @romanmoray that’s like??? so intricate??? with flawless lineart? I’m dying

I haven’t been reading as much fic recently but I’ve really been enjoying @giggles-and-freckles‘ Filling in the Gaps which hits both the smol Anakin & tired new parent Obi-Wan as well as the Obi-Wan and Ahsoka niches that I love. Definitely recommend it!!! Ahsoka gets a juice box!! What’s not to love!!

not much going on with me tbh, the main thing that really gets my clown shoes squeaking these days is my purely self-indulgent series of underrated duos of star wars and atla characters

But I also really want to point out a handful of the authors who are participating in febuwhump who have been posting amazing fics right out the gate. I’m so excited to see what y’all come up with for the rest of the month!

@pandora15 as always is ripping my heart out with her whump fics, but day one with the Mortis Arc fic is one I have to highlight for sure.

@hellowkatey is a fic author I’ve recently stumbled upon and I’m so glad I did because her fic A Magnet for Trouble is amazing.

@giggles-and-freckles is fueling my favorite headcanon which is that Obi-Wan is claustrophobic because of the ray shields on Naboo with her day 3 fic!

@the13thbattalion my darling Emma, you always write such amazing things, but yesterday’s fic, Break Your Fall, was awesome. 10/10.

@cloudyskywars you also always rip my heart out, especially with your day 2 fic, Alone. 

@sonderwalker okay this technically isn’t for Febuwhump but I loved your little ficlet this week. It gave me Ani and Obi feels which I am always here for and always excited to recommend.  

I’m going to link my most recent chapter of Cloaks and Commanders. The next chapter is the final one, and it’s going to be ANGSTY. Here’s an excerpt from the most recent chapter:

Cody returned to his post, but his focus was no longer on the cave opening, but on Obi-Wan. It was so rare that he got to see his General relaxed like this nowadays. He carried the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders, even though he didn’t have to, and recently it had begun to take even more of a toll than before.

There were new wrinkles at the corners of Obi-Wan’s eyes that hadn’t been there at the beginning of the war. New grey hairs, too. He had been under a lot of stress since the start, but now, especially after Umbara and Commander Tano’s leaving, his eyes seemed a bit dimmer than before.

As for fic recs, I am going to link Cody Stop Punching Droids Challenge by Insert_Creative_Name_Here. It’s HILARIOUS and I loved every second of it. 

I’m also going to link blessed with a wilder mind (Part 2) by sheApunk89. It’s an AU where Rex is force sensitive, and the whole thing is amazing.

I have a little snippet of today’s febuwhump fic which I am!!! just about done with!!!!! A few more sentences to go and some editing, then it’ll be here and on AO3!! I’m hoping to keep it on time and post tonight but it could be early tomorrow, I’m not sure yet! Keep an eye out anyway :)

They had families and friends begin counting heads to ensure everyone had made it out when the ground shook with a greater fervor. Everyone turned to the mouth of the tunnel. Several shouts and cries rang out from the crowd. The few Togrutans not holding onto someone quickly found a neighbor with open arms.

Obi-Wan’s eyes flicked to Rex. They held each other’s gaze.

Rex shook his head. “No. Don’t you dare.”

Obi-Wan smiled. A sad smile. A farewell smile. “Apologies, Captain.”

He dove into the darkness.

As for some recs, I have some things that have been making me really happy this week!! First of all, the febuwhump stuff from @cloudyskywars @pandora15 @hellowkatey and @songbird-wings just to name a FEW have been absolutely murdering me! In the best way!! I LOVE!!!

Also shout out to @thenegoteator for the sw/atla crossovers uhhhh they’re adding YEARS onto my life!!!

And a shout out to @katierosefun for her fic ever in our favor! I have NO IDEA why it took me so long to start this but now that I have, I can’t read it fast enough!!
