it's fucking crazy to me how high-ranking obi-wan is during tcw. letting this guy spearhead an ATTACK BATTALION is like handing dwight d eisenhower a rifle and a bangalore and letting him storm the beaches of normandy himself. absolutely batshit INSANE

drafting the jedi makes sense from a purely strategical standpoint. like hey, they're literal psychic superhumans, they have incredible small-scale defensive and stealth capabilities and more! they'd be great advisors and sidekicks in the field. emphasis on the sidekicks part.

basically i'm thinking VERY HARD about an alternate reality where the jedi weren't made generals, but lieutenants and captains who follow the ✨ professional ✨ directions of their clone commanders and lead smaller strike teams.

now imagine rex putting anakin and ahsoka on latrine duty for throwing him off that wall on geonosis because HE CAN DO THAT NOW. obi-wan dutifully marching half a step behind cody and not the other way around. it's such a fun scenario to rotate in my head ngl
