I did not know Caesar Stabbing Day would lead me down a calendar wikipedia dive, but yes, the Julian Calendar made January 1st the first day of the year, before that March was the first month of the year (aka beginning of spring), and you’ll notice if you count from march the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th month corresponds with the months from September to December.
