The Classic Burger is a classic. It has a juicy beef patty, American cheese, fresh vegetables, and a special burger sauce on top.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of American cheese. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup ketchup. 8 slices of pickles. 1/2 onion, thinly sliced. 4 leaves of lettuce. 4 slices of tomato.
Instructions: Preheat grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season each patty with salt and black pepper. Place the burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired level of doneness. While the burgers are cooking, split the hamburger buns and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and ketchup to create the burger sauce. Once the burgers are almost done, place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt for about a minute. Assemble the burgers: Spread the burger sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a tomato slice, burger patty with melted cheese, sliced onions, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve hot and enjoy your Classic Burger!
