Go my stonathan playing cards
hey you. teenage girl writing in her diary. quit talking about the boy you have a crush on and start writing about the current political situation, the valuation of currencies, and the level of technology your people hold. your diary might be the only piece of evidence our society existed after nuclear war fries all of our data backups. future historians don't need to know about damian, they need at least a secondhand accounts of the great water wars and whether or not your leaders truly did worship a deity called "the free hand of the market"
Keep writing about your crush Teenaged Girl. About your clothes, and how that other girl wore the same dress as you. Paint me a picture of what you were like.
Historians are going to hear about Damian and they're gonna LIKE IT
Make those future Historians reverse engineer the socioeconomic hierarchies of the 21st century from dreamy descriptions of Damian's current fashions. It's giving them enrichment.
Happy Pride month 🖤🏳️🌈

Happy Pride month my dudes
this pride month i want everyone to consider the benefits of abolishing the sex binary
furthermore, abolish the government systems that require people to categorize themselves into gendered categories. why do y'all need to know that.
no more assigning babies a legal sex at birth. i feel like this should go without saying, but no more surgeries on intersex infants. no more surgeries on intersex children. embrace intersex traits as natural. because they are.
no more gendered dress codes. no more gender markers on passports, driver's licenses, ids. i'm not talking about "adding x" or "adding a third category" i'm talking about no more categories, period. why does the government need to know what my genital situation is? why does the government feel the need to assign me a sex on the basis of genitals? why does the cop who pulled me over need to see an m, or an f, or an x?
no more "gender is a social construct, sex is the thing that's binary." sex is not binary. abolish the idea that it is. normalize conversations about intersex traits. being intersex is natural. the sex binary is a thing imposed by the state.
no more gendered sports. if you really care about equity, sort people into categories based on skill level and athleticism, not gender or sex. the concept that there are only two sexes and that one is inherently weaker than the other is pseudoscience. the male/female hunter/gatherer dichotomy is not based in fact, and is a product of modern sexist cultural biases. one gender is not inherently subservient to the other. people are not inherently different on the basis of sex or gender. it is just more complicated than that.
the concept of multiple genders and sexes beyond the man/woman male/female dichotomy has existed as long as humans have existed. the sex binary only serves to benefit the patriarchy. the gender binary only serves to benefit the patriarchy. continuing to impose it just controls (and harms) the people it forcibly categorizes.
i'm not asking for the end of gender, i'm calling for an acknowledgement of gender and sex that understands the infinite diversity of the human species. i'm suggesting an end to binary systems that only benefit the ruling class. just think about it. okay?

Kurt is a very complex and interesting character to me in terms of personality. Throughout the entire movie, he behaves like an impulsive ticking bomb, but in the last minutes of the film? He is like... so quiet. And that is frightening. I think something still broke inside him at that moment, so... I suppose he would understand that cops will got him right after, so he just went to, yk. but it's just my thoughts for my AU. I don't think of him like depressed deadinside ass, no (bro literally listens to gummybear), I'm just curious abt his real mental state. Is he like psychopath? or sociopath? smth like that.
In my opinion, the relationship between Michael and Kurt would be nothing more than an attempt to take out their own problems on each other. It's not even love, just strange connection between two sick souls. Something like the fact that neither of them would ever become normal people, but Michael still tried to find something good in life for himself, however, meeting Kurt became for him the main point of "I only deserve ts".
So why did Michael stay?
My explanation is the sorrowful desire to obtain love even by the most terrible means (after years of being bullied and rejected by society), and Kurt's obsession is so similar to real love! Yeah. Michael is looking for something that doesn't exist. As much as he longs for love in its normal form, Kurt is simply incapable of giving it. But the paradox is that this lack of connection would somehow keep Michael alive. Neither alive, nor dead. Neither loving, nor loved.
Same with Kurt.
He has a wild desire to be recognized, to be seen, to be noticed, he always feels lacking, and when Michael gives that small bit of attention — he melts. He wants more, more, more. He nuzzles against his neck, peppering his pale face with trails of kisses, pulls him closer (even though Michael isn't particularly fond of touch), and the indifference in the eyes across from him is just gray noise to his wildly beating heart. Because Michael understands his sickness. Oh, he understands.
Michael doesn't even like having sex, and is most likely asexual; it's just... an act of self-harm or releasing suppressed aggression. Nothing more.
That's it.
The point is, they can't be fixed. They're eating what is left.
Both of their stories were coming to an end. And the worst thing they could do was to cling to each other to continue existing.

Hey, Lovebirds!
Watched Demi Moore's heartbreaking performance in the substance as a woman who kills herself trying to keep up with beauty standards... only to see Demi Moore on her way to kill herself to keep up with beauty standards
The first 1-2 pages of All Systems Red, inspired by @nothingiswrongwithyourarmrests's post about how tmbd should have been adapted into a graphic novel.
Version where every tab is readable below the cut, because I spent way too much time on those things for no one to be able to see them
i get why people don't believe in marriage as a social construct but legally it is the best and easiest way to say "this is who i trust to take care of me when i can't take care of myself" and i'm so glad gay people fought for that right bc when shit gets scary at least i know im in good hands

I think if you want to understand bigotry against aromantics, I have a good case study. Let me talk a little about my dad's family.
My dad has 4 half siblings and two step siblings. They're all a decent bit younger than him. When I was a teenager, we went to a family reunion, and I realized something—my dad did not respect his siblings. He looked down on all of them. He saw them as fuck-ups and overgrown children. My dad had the American dream: well paying management job, suburban house, wife, and three kids. My aunt and uncles did not. Excluding my aunt, none of them were married or in serious relationships. They hadn't really settled into long term careers. Several of them were working the kind of jobs that get called "Unskilled labor." So he looked down on them because the youngest one was in his thirties (and several were much older), and yet none of them had "settled down" into what he saw as lifelong, permanent careers and relationships and lives. He was polite to their faces, sure, but I heard how he talked about them behind their backs, to my mother.
And then a few years ago, we visited his brothers again for Thanksgiving. And I realized something again--he respected them now. He saw them as equals. Why? Well. All of a sudden, every single one of them had serious, committed romantic partners. They didn't even need to still be with those partners—one of my uncle's fiance passed away from cancer before they could marry—just having had one showed that they matured into a real adult participating in society. In fact, at one point, my aunt was telling my mom about how one of my uncles was no longer living in an apartment she owned, but instead, after having a steady girlfriend for about a year, he moved in with her. And my mom literally said to my aunt, "wow. Look at that. He finally grew up."
One of the lines that frequently gets repeated about anti-aspec sentiment is "why would anyone hate asexuals/aromantics/etc? They aren't even doing anything." And that's exactly it. In the eyes of amatonormative culture, we aren't doing anything. Adults are supposed to do things. That's how you become a member of society.
I know that my father will never see me as a successful adult. He will never approve of my life. And I think most people would assume that that's because I'm trans. And don't get me wrong, he sure as shit doesn't like or respect that, but I do think if given enough time, he would get used to it. He would eventually realize that it isn't going away. And if I settled down with a spouse and a respectful job and a few kids, he could see me as a successful adult that he could be proud of anyway. But of course, that's not going to happen. Because I'm aromantic. So I'm never going to do that one thing that signifies that his job is complete, and I'm officially a full-fledged adult. I will perpetually be that fuck-up kid who won't settle down. In my personal case, that's okay. My dad is a conservative piece of shit, and if he doesn't approve of you, that just means you're doing something right. But on a societal level? This kind of attitude is a massive problem. Aromantics deserve to be treated like adults, and to feel like the accomplished adults that they are. We should feel like we belong in society.
So, I've been saying all week that I was looking forward to how the Detective Conan x Precure episode was going to handle putting a magical girl in a murder mystery genre, but I really wasn't expecting them to make a certain meme real.
