I try to limit the extent to which I ask for things that hide some deeper desire. for example, I don't send someone a photo that made me think of them if I actually just want to ask how they are doing. I think testing the space between you and another person is a great thing to do, but only when you are aware that you are doing it. When I am honest with myself only then can I be honest with you. If I want to see someone but it feels awkward to ask, I will also just say it feels awkward but this is my desire. it's a lesson in sincerity.
