You could plop down and have a (mandated, involuntary) snooze, and be pretty well camouflaged. But you're still vulnerable — so someone sits with you to watch, also completely still, to not give it away (if something does approach, you can't just wake your companion up to fight or run with you. You have to stand your ground and defend them on your own. So if you can avoid being detected and confronted in the first place, that's best)
But it means even if a predator does notice some of these rocks aren't rocks, it doesn't know how many are awake and ready to attack it if it tries anything.

i love the "grace somehow lives as long as an eridian" interpretations of the movie ending cuz i honestly think something like that could happen in cannon and it wouldn't feel out of place.

Tried to tip a tumblr blog at 1am and it was such a suspicious transaction it immediately put a full fraud freeze on my account

Celine spent a week being strangely nice to them and insanely nice to the demon, despite everything she’d taught them, and then she and the demon both disappeared. And never came back
Neither of them were nineteen yet, but thankfully the contract they’d signed let them move into dorms with the company’s other trainees instead of having them sent home when they finally called the police
