Watched the first season of Witch Hat Atelier, and it was indeed very beautiful
before my egg cracked, i had noticed that trans people were often pro-accessibility and up-to-date on the needs of disabled people, but i hadn’t seen any inherent connection between the two (other than the obvious minority-looking-out-for-other-minority thing). but now that i’m trans and medically transitioning, and i have to constantly repeat myself while talking to doctors and nurses, and explain things about my own anatomy to medical staff who should already know this, and having every single problem i might have blamed on my “condition” so nothing i say is taken seriously, all of the sudden i have a little sneak peak into the life of someone who has to deal with this all the time. like shit bro, being disabled probably sucks ass, someone should do something about this
happy disability pride month, we all deserve autonomy and respect and access to medication
This dog's face is sending me. New reaction image
As i was cropping it i thought the "no he'd die" was really funny so I kept it
I'm stealing this. Thanks.
Something that annoys me is the constant whining about "more queer spaces, more queer communities" but then they're immediately like "yeah! And we need ones that don't cost money or require a purchase!"
Girl that's exactly why they close down after a year. You NEED money to keep these places open. There's no magic Gay Money Pot with endless cash to keep these places open. It requires YOU to put your money where your values are!!
Like there was a queer coffee shop in my city. Owned and operated by a bunch of LGBT people. Not a cishet on the schedule. Tons of young people raved about it.
And it made it about 2 years before shutting down completely. Because all those young people who begged for a place exactly like this would just show up, not buy a single thing, and leave. You cannot build a community without putting your money into it. This isn't about capitalism, this is just reality. You can't open a restaurant where no one buys your food. You can't have a gay bar that only serves 5% of the population and actively excludes everyone else. This is what I mean when I say people confuse "community" and "friend group." You're not obligated to spend money when hanging out with your friend group. But if you want a lasting community centered space, you need to open up that wallet.

the worst part of summer is that people get sooo comfortable expressing their disgust at having to see other people’s bodies. they’re always complaining about wrinkly old men at the nude hot springs or fat women in bikinis at the beach. I hate that shit. if you’re not capable of being normal about bodies you personally don’t find attractive, just turn your head to look at something else! and if you’re not smart enough to do that, then at least do the rest of us the courtesy of suffering in silence, because we don’t wanna hear your weird comments. thanks.
just remembered that my middle school bullies were named Chase and Hunter. what was up with that. what was going on there.
were you bullied by the pope?

Sometimes your writing style will be too difficult for some people to understand. Good, you don't write for everybody. It's okay to be complex.
Sometimes your writing will be interpreted many ways, some of which you may not enjoy. Fine, you didn't write it for them, but they're thinking critically about it and that's cool. It's common to be misinterpreted.
Sometimes readers may disagree with your portrayal of something even though you carefully researched or experienced it yourself. Alright, so they read different research or had a different experience. You're not obligated to correct yourself or explain yourself to them.
Sometimes a reader is actually a troll. Block or report them.
Sometimes you really did mess up and accidentally wrote something offensive. Learn why it hurt someone, and don't repeat the mistake.
Most of the time your readers will say nice, simple things or read silently and say nothing at all. Both of these are good and should be respected as the reader's choice. It's perfectly normal to receive little feedback.
What's bad to one person may be great to another. If writers love an unloved work, that's preferable to readers loving a work the writer regrets. Yet either way, someone loves the work!
