There are a lot of RPGs with no romanceable characters, but the way The Thaumaturge deals with this is very funny to me. Wiktor has the option to flirt with several people during the game (Wanda, Samira, Abaurycy...), only for them to immediately tell him to fuck off. The man canonically has no game despite being a professional manipulator. Truly the most bitchless magician in all of Poland

Wiktor Szulski is such a fascinating man... When he was young he thought he would've married a man just like his sister supposed to and he didn't want that, he's probably a monsterfucker, when women openly flirts with him he just brushes it off, he doesn't bat an eye when he comes across men and women having "close friends" of the same gender and/or he finds out about wlw and mlm relationships during his researches, he supports women rights, he tiptoes between sarcasm and flirtatious when he talks with some men, he doesn't say anything when men make compliments to him for his good look. anyway i love him and want to study him like a bug

the thaumaturge is a game about taming comprehensible horrors tied to human flaws, then getting sick because of said horrors so you have to ask the guy who is psychosexually manipulating you (probably) to hypnotize you. and this guy happens to be rasputin.
